Bought a pair of Red Kap coveralls. 46R spruce green. Wanted to get some opinions of people who own a pair. How do they look? Fit? Did you weather them? First pair I’ve bought in 10+ years. Thanks!
I owned 2 pair of spruce greens actually, one in my size and one for my Lifesize H1 mannequin. They have a great H1 look without having all the exact details of the screen used coveralls. I’d say they run small, so I would get a size bigger than you might normally get. I believe I used a 42L for my mannequin, which was 6’1 with a chest measurement of 38. I used black and white spray paint from Wal-Mart and just layered some weathering lightly over them. Adding more “oil stain” areas in places. There’s plenty more you can do to make them even more accurate, but I was happy with mine… Here’s some pics of my old Lifesize…Hope this helps, and there’s a thread around that explains some serious weathering and alterations to make them even more “screen accurate”, I’ll find it and post it here as well.
I have a weathered pair in navy blue and one I’m still weathering in spruce green.
Very good coveralls. They don’t have the pocket-flap that H2 had, and they don’t have the angled stitching at the end of the sleeve cuffs, but other than those two things they seem to be an almost identical match.
I’ve been very happy with them and the price for each pair was really good. Are they 100% accurate? No, but they’re like 98% accurate which is pretty damn nice.
Thanks bro!! And I got the mannequin off eBay. I can send you a link for the exact one I used… There aren’t near as many of that exact style that I’ve found.
If you could PM me it’d be much appreciated brother! Don’t have accurate coveralls like yours but your mask looks so good on that mannequin it really is making me want to set up a life size Myers finally! You definitely have one of the best ve seen hands down
I gotta’ say my friend, those are pretty stellar! I know they aren’t exactly perecr but they are a nice alternative. I am pretty excited to receive mine in the mail any day now!
I bought a pair of 48 lg. I’m 6 foot, 205-210, depending on the scale and they were too big, too long. but I don’t want mine baggy at all, I’m exchanging for a 46rg
Hopefully they fit, like I said I’m 5’10” 180 lbs. and the 46 regular fit me perfectly. They sre snug but not tight. There is bagginess but only when I am not wearing shoes or boots. Hopefully they will be right for you. They seem to run small. I’d normally be a 44 in another brand.
