I am currently interested in rehauling a halloween 4 masks from tots. would it be better to start off the base coat with a flesh tone or just apply white paint! I am still new to this so sorry if im a noob and the newbie question lolz -_-
Depends on your skill level, desired outcome preference of what you want the finish to ultimately look like, how heavy or light your hand is when painting and detailing.
Given how sleek and clean it looks, your best bet for a lasting paint job would be to airbrush the white on with latex acrylic paint. If you’re doing the hair too, you probably just gotta find similarly colored roving or mohair to glue on and style.
Paintwise - Yes, start witth your flesh tone and then use either an airbrush or a can of white spray paint. Just be aware that if you dont seal it, it is gonna crumble and flake off. Speaking from experience. And its the same with just straight acrylic paint with no latex added. But, it is possible.
