I was taking a trip down memory lane tonight to get into the Halloween spirit, back to the 2009 to 2011 era before TOTS was really hitting it off (back then, Chris even promised the Psycho sculpt would stay collector’s only! :rolleyes: ) Back to the days when Trancas was hammering us hard and nearly shut us all down for good, and when there were RZ masks galore! There was, however, one thing that made me smile. Every old “Pic of the Day” thread I popped into had an H78. Man, that was THE premiere mask to have back then. It was literally the Creep of its day. Everybody had one! James overhauled so many, I bet he never wants to see another one under his airbrush again. :laughing: I just remember wanting one so badly when I first joined, and nearly pissing myself in excitement when I ordered one on my lunch break second hand from eBay. It was honestly a JC H78 that spurred me to join in the first place. I could never get my copy stuffed right, and the hair on my copy was so dark it never showed up well in pics. I had a rough time letting it go when I came to selling it, though. Hope whoever has it now loves it just as much as I did.

I thought I’d start this thread for everybody who remembers having THE mask of its time, and for those maybe who want to show of their old copies. :drinkers: :drinkers: :drinkers:

The first mask besides the Lunatic to truly get the JC treatment. AHG was knocking these out of the park as well! I miss my old copy man, hell of a mask

Even though I’ve never owned an H78, I have always been very fond of the look it gives off, still holds up to this day too

Damn, I miss the days when the first AHG/JC convertions came & changed everything here…
Still love my JC copy & I will never part with this masterpiece… :myers:

Loved the h78, a massive game changer and the mask that really started my obsession. Here’s few of the copies I owned. Still miss some of them :drinkers:

I had four H78’s at one time. I’ve sold all but one. The one finished by JC back in 2007. It has John Carpenter’s and P.J Sole’s sigs in it. Keeper for life. :wink:

Yup, I remember Go Bears first copy done up by AHG. I think that was when the “ conversion” game first started. The H78 should be in the hall of fame in the Myers indy mask scene.
