Anyone have any suggestions on how to fill a hole in an old latex mask? I have a DP 1985 The Mask that I’m considering having restored and it has a hole under the chin area. Any thoughts? Can it be done?

Depending on how big the hole is. I might try putting packing tape over the hole on the outside. Turn mask inside out, put a little neosporin or petroleum jelly on the sticky side of the tape then start building up layers of RD 407 liquid latex. The neosporin prevents the latex sticking to the tape once dry. First layer should be thin so it dries fast and seals the tape to the mask so the tape doesn’t lift. Hope this helps.
Once dry and layered up to the desired thickness. Pull the tape, remove any tape and petroleum residue then paint.
Awesome. Thanks! So I guess the other question would be if the rubber around the hole has dry rot should that be removed first so that the new latex can stick? Will new latex seal to the dry rotted area?
You’ll probably want to remove the bad areas first.
