Guys I took the plunge and bought the rubies deluxe myers mask. The mask is UNREAL. Its not like the cheap ones they made before this looks very similar to the 78 castle stretch. It also fits nice and snug on the head. I would like to take pics and show you guys just not sure how to post the pictures on this forum? I paid 40 dollars for it. The hair could be a bit better but it look SOOOOO similar to the 78 hero.
It also has a very sweet fragrant latex smell. i/ts definitely without a doubt in person much close to the real original mask than the tots mask.
Theirs now way the Rubies is going to be better then the Tots once there Ben Tramer comes out and people start redoing them into H1/H2 masks. I mean come on to have a Mass Produced Psycho, casted from a 1975 kirk ya that’s pretty frigging awesome!! Never thought id see the day, not saying the new Rubies isnt a “good” mask, but come on its a PSYCHO!!!
I always thought Rubies was crap but trust me this blew my mind when i opened the box. It seems like its a high quality latex too. it has an engraved stamp saying Made in mexico so its not chinese made.
They must of got this from an existing nag or something. I saw the ben tamer one you were talking about this seems more close to the original than even the ben tamer. When i get home ill try to upload some pics.
The Tramer was pulled from the 75 kirk mold in 81 for the movie, just with diff eye cuts from the hero mask with a light blue paint job and the blonde hair…
I just saw this video. I believe the one i got was a redesign as it looks different than the one ont he mannequin. I will try to get some pics when i get home. It as definitely definitely worth he 40 or so bucks thats all i can say guys. It might not be the best mask but its the best cheap mask out the for sure.
