Although H2 had 3 masks, they were all from the same sculpt technically. If you’re going to convert one for the half mask and aged masks, you’d want to do the dream sequence masks since it’s the same sculpt.
So I’d need another copy of the mask in the middle in my RZ pic to get all of them? I’m just trying to have the copies needed where I can own all versions of the RZ mask line, I know the clean and scarred are from the first movie, then half mask, aged and dream sequence mask in the 2nd. So use the dream sequence mask to make the aged from h2? Were there also more than 1 half masks used in the film? Appreciate the help.
Sure thing man!
That is correct. All of the exposed copies I’ve seen this far from tots are cut wrong, so cutting one yourself using movie reference would definitely be preferable imo.
That is correct. H2 only had one sculpt for the film, shown below. The standard pulls, although they had different paint jobs, were used for the dream sequence and revolver mask. The exposed masks were pulls from the same mold, but with the face cut out on the one side. Attached it’s a rough guide of how they cut it from the sculpt.
Turns out not all of the dream sequence masks are trimmed properly. The one on the right doesn’t have the cheek section cut out. The one on the left does have the cheek cut out, but the small section above the eyebrow is uncut.
That is something I’ve noticed on all of my rz masks so far. It seems like they are getting lazier with cuts. My 07 mask eye cuts were unfinished. Neck was untrimmed. Lots of the holes weren’t cut out. Etc;.
That’s just the standard finish for the 07s. All the copies I’ve seen were finished like that. Not great, but at least consistent.
The 09s I’ve seen are all over the place in terms of trimming
