Which film does Michael look scariest. I’m not just talking about the mask, but thel look of Michael. The walk, the coveralls, body language but the mask counts too.
Mine is H4.
I like the H1 mask more because it looks awesome, but the H4 look just looks scary. The mask is just plain looking, which is why it looks scary. GPW’s performance is great too. The other Michaels look scary too but I think the H4 look is the scariest.
1 and 6. My biggest problem with 4’s look is that sometimes the coveralls were padded (likely due to stunt work), which looked awkward, otherwise his presence was strong in it.
In part 1 The Shape was almost like a ghost, a presence appearing at random, watching, waiting; in part 6 he was more like a force, everywhere he needed to be and just walking and tearing through his opposition. Part 4 had that sort of mix in-between these, but the mask needed to be shot in deeper shadows to really work due to the very plain white paint (as opposed to the more silvery white thinly painted over darker flesh tones in 1 and 2), and the sometimes padded coveralls looked awkward.
I have to go with 1, that movie scared the shit out of me as a child.
Michael was much more…mysterious, always got me.
I like 4 as a movie, but his look throws me off so much, he’s so bulky, appears as an ex football player in a Myers mask. The only down fall of H4 is him not appearing more like he did in the previous 2 for me.
Cool thread Ryan
H1 without a doubt. Michael booked in that movie, which flat out scared the shit out of people and him appearing in the shadows fading from black to blue to reality will never be equalled in cinema.
I would say this is closely followed by H2. The mask was scarier in this movie, however Warlock did not move like he was chasing anyone like Castle.
H1 without a doubt. I love H2 also but I wish DW would have worn the mask and coveralls like Castle did (no safety pins holding the back of the mask closed, with the coveralls top snap undone). I really don’t care too much for the other looks.
H4 Myers totally had the potential to look great though, but they dropped the ball big time IMO. The other day I saw this awesome pic of Crofader wearing the H4 hero and I think it looks killer. If Myers had looked this way in the film it would have been so much better:
H1 and H2 are by far my favorite movies. However, I think the scariest looking mask is RZ1. The deterioration of the mask ups the creepy factor. In a side by side comparison as far as the mask goes I think RZ1 wins out. Don’t get me wrong… I absolutely love the H1 / H2 mask and the lack of emotion it provides Michael. To me H1 IS Michael Myers.
H1 & H2, but I voted for H2 being the scariest. The way Dick Warlock makes the mask look along with the rugged weathered appearance makes one menacing Myers.
For me being bias I look at the casual person, and the RZ look is just terrifying, especially the dream sequence scene, the blood on the face the torn exposure of the mask, it will scare many from the people seeing your costume. What ever people say about H2, the look of Myers is very intense, weather its the DS scene, or his Hobo look its brutal. The gore factor does gets peoples attention, which the DS scene captures brilliantly
and my costume
Cant wait to use it at a local convention in 2 weeks
Cheers, going to a local convention on the 16th January, debuting the new mask since it arrived 2 days after Halloween, typical so this is a great chance to use my H2 costume. I will see how people react to the DS costume with the new mask, the extra attention to detail dela done on the white satin really is a masterpiece
