Hi Everyone. Please forgive me if this is in the wrong thread but I didn’t know if this question belonged in the Classifieds since it is a hypothetical one. I am considering selling my unconverted H78 Deluxe Edition Kirk but wanted to know what my chances are of receiving a money order for it and immediately mailing the mask to the would-be purchaser? You see, I do not have a Paypal account and will probably not be able to set one up since I have no credit card.
I ask this because I’m well aware of how many times people on this site have relied on the trust factor to receive their mask after sending payment. This does not always happen. Unfortunately, I do not have a selling history. I have purchased masks from others but have never sold any. I know words are words but I will let everyone here know right now that I am a man of my word and am 100% against the idea of ripping someone off. You cannot get much lower than that. If I happen to hear from someone who may be interested in purchasing my mask then they can feel free to let anyone know what is going on for the record.
If anyone knows the best way to approach this where trust is not in question for a potential buyer please let me know.
The person who sends you the money order can simply ask for delivery confirmation or a signature for proof you got the money. They will have the receipt part of the money order showing the date, amount and etc.
I think it would be AWESOME if we had a 3rd party program.
A trusted seller/buyer who would receive both ends of the deal and then ship accordingly. Yes it would cost a little more (shipping) but it would be an awesome thin to do to cut down on any sort of “theft”.
Like for instance if I did it.
If you wanted to sell your mask, you’d send it to me and the party buying it would send payment to me (in your name obviously if it’s a MO) and once I received both ends of the deal I would send the mask to the buyer and the payment to the seller.
One way to enhance your idea eyes is for the seller and buyer disclose what states the goods are traveling from and to. This way we could set up like an underground railroad system…for example…
If someone in New York were sending something to Florida have someone in North Carolina be the 3rd party, and if from NC to CA have someone mid-country to do it…get the idea?? Later guys

To get a paypal acount you dont necessarily need a Credit Card
you can also use your Banks Debit Card
All paypal wants to know
is if the info your putting down for the account is real and not fake
and also for, if you dont have any cash in your paypal you can use you card for backup to cover whatever you bought…

Hey bro…MO’s are fine…Just be sure to make sure the MO clears before you send out the mask…I personally havent taken an MO in years due to a bad experience…I was sent a bogus MO years ago through ebay for like 250 bucks…I cashed it and sent the item Only to find out it was a fake…My bank cashed it but I had to pay it back once they realized it was a fake…I didnt have a paypal account at the time and ebay at the time didnt do do squat to help you…So I just stopped taking them…I would only accept a US Postal money order…They are very hard to duplicate and easily cashed if you dont have a bank account…Always make sure its legit before you send out the item and you shouldnt have a problem my man…Later bud
Most likely there wouldn’t be a problem, BUT You never know! You can be the most Credible Person in the world but what if for some reason the package gets lost in the mail, or miss delivered and never recovered. There goes the credibility Issue because then people will wonder if this was a Scam from the beginning. I understand that Tracking info & Delivery Confirmation are very valuable but I worry Too much. I been screwed from a couple of sellers thru ebay and other sites for alot of money. And I’m fearful of taking that chance. Paypal is the secure way to Protect the buyer. I most recently almost had a deal go south, but thanks to Paypal it didn’t. Check with paypal, a debit card may be enough to open an accout. Good Luck! signed the worrywart!
I use MO’s a lot, but most of the time I use paypal, you don’t need to really have a credit card unless your buying from someone. But the bad thing about MO’s is they have the possibility of getting lost or stolen.
The whole story about not needing a credit card to use Paypal only works in a few countries.
My only option is MO.
I always send payment by postal MO which should be cashed at a post office. Bank MOs should be cashed at a bank.
I always send with tracking number.
I’m sick of seeing Paypal only, I miss out on alot of good pieces…Guess that’s life
