Everyone, regardless of the SAW sequels not being a part of James Wan’s vision, the franchise doesn’t need to be rebooted. If you followed up on the rant post I’ve made previously, like I’ve said before, with each movie of the as-is SAW timeline, it tells not just ONE Jigsaw disciple, but up to 8 OR MORE MEMBERS. With each movie’s plot, the Jigsaw disciple doesn’t reveal themself until the movies are about 10-25 minutes left until the end credits. The SAW 11 movie can’t be made with a clean-slate timeline and the reason why is because other films have suffered from problems with similarly rebooted timelines, and the SAW franchise will crash down along with the other franchises because rebooted timelines are NOTHING BUT REDUNDANT, especially if there is more than just ONE definitive timeline that stems from the very first movie. (Look at the Halloween franchise, for example) Not only that, but fans who knew what they know from the previous horror film sequels’ timelines after seeing the first movie, not only to find out the next film is to ignore all the sequels except the first, IT GETS CONFUSING where the continuity is at that point. And if the SAW franchise is going to ignore all the other previous films apart from the first, with all of those 8 or more potential Jigsaw disciples written out of the timeline, what will be their confirmed fate if we will never be able to know because SAW 11 is a rebooted timeline?? Like Lawrence Gordon for example, we never even get to know what exactly happens after he locked up Mark Hoffman in the same bathroom in the first movie, or Mark Hoffman himself. The road of the SAW franchise needs to have the plotholes filled in where the story still needs to be confirmingly explained, CLOSURE.
