Did a quick search and couldn’t find a thread on this. Ill start by stating I’m pretty new to the hobby of mask collecting. Was simply wondering if anyone has ever had an issue with a mask from shipping during the hotter months of the year. Just a random thought i had while working in the warehouse the other day. It can get pretty hot in ups/usps trucks during the summer months and wondered if anyone’s ever had a mask melt or dry rot during shipping in the heat.
That’s a pretty good question, I ordered a Warlock and I should receive it sometime at the end of June, early July and it’s pretty warm that time of year. I would assume a mask would be okay long as it’s stuffed and it’s shipped in a box so it’s not in direct sun. Would love to hear from other collectors on this. Thanks!
Had an issue once where the glue that was used for hairing loosened when I shipped it, it was an SSN H6 mask (GPW I think), then the same thing happened to another SSN mask that I kept (my Curse I think). Never had any other issues though, but shipping with polyester fiber fill should alleviate heat issues.
I received my creep in June and it was fine, didn’t appear to be any issues with the heat
Had a mask rot once when it arrived during the summer.
Tokyo summers can be deadly.
It’s odd you mentioned that. Only time I ever had a issue with the hot summer months was when I lived in Texas several years ago. It was a SSN H6 mask I bought and the clue under the hair loosened up alot in a couple spots making some of the hair come unattached. I’m pretty sure it was a GPW. Probably 5 or 6 years ago
Got a mask and undershell from the UK… I live in Phoenix, AZ… the weather change warped the shell beyond repair, mask was ok though. Summers here make you wanna kill yourself.

Thanks guys. I live in St.Louis, MO summers here get pretty hot but the humidity is the killer. I have a few masks I’m waiting for and a few more I’m looking to buy soon. Hopefully they’ll all be ok and I’ll keep those masks and brands in mind when purchasing during the hotter months.
