I grabbed one of these as part of a trade last year, curious to see what its potential was. Here’s I picture of what it looks like with just a little TLC. I corrected the eye cuts as much as possible, brushed the hair a bit, and added some additional weathering and highlights to bring out details. Only about 30 minutes of work. I do plan to rehair it with mohair, but wanted to see what a simple fix would do.

It looks so much better with the eye adjusted, would love to see it worn after you rehair it
That looks WAY better. Mine has a goofy left eyehole cut and it needs fixed as well.
They are decent sculpts when they get cleaned up well. I usually avoid left side shots straight on because you can tell easily it’s too big compared to the right. I have to fix it. Here are a few shots I found where you can see.

Yours looks really good! And also did you ask for weathering or did it come like that? Because I have seen some that are too clean and some that look better than others. I’m tempted to order one and when I do I want mine to look like yours.
Actually the pictures above there are exactly how I received my Hiro from Cris.
I had this mask totally re-hauled by Rowland Kelly. He rehaired it for me and repainted it he also fixed the eye cuts.
I’m very happy with it now.

Looks really good! How was the flesh tone on yours? I’ve seen many examples that vary quite a bit. When I received mine I was surprised at how much fleshy tones it had from the sideburn “glue” and on back.
You mean when I first got it before it was re-hauled?
Well when I first got it it definitely had more fleshy tones on the neck and the back. When I asked Rowland to do it for me I just asked him for the most realistic looking to the ‘78 film in his opinion he could get it. He originally showed me several different flesh tones he could use. Ultimately I’m really happy with what he did [emoji106] cleaned up and rehaired the Hiro is a fantastic mould imho
