Would be great to have Nick wear the original costume and stand beside the station wagon with those that sit in the drivers seat, he doesn’t need to have the mask over his face, he can have it sit on his head
I think it was probably tan or whatever for filming, but who knows. As Kaizu stated it slightly varies between releases.
Whatever the original finishing was I doubt that it is the present color. According to the article “It then sat in a barn for decades before being sold to its current caretaker.” The car as it appears today definitely doesn’t look as though it’s been sitting in a barn for decades, so it was restored in some fashion according to the owners, but no clue if that included a repaint. The owners would have to clear that up I suppose!
A good, multi-grit polish process can do incredible things, but it can’t change the color of the paint, no way. Filter or no filter, there is no way the car when from a goldish/yellowish tan color to a smokey grey.
