So whats up with the new classified rules?

I kinda think its horse ass that i cant repost my classified add because i have less than 50 posts. I posted it last week and everything was fine… but now unless i go and post a bunch of crap i cant use the classifieds right now? It wont even let me bump my old add… thats a bunch of crap.

You have to wait a week before it will get bumped or you bump it, its the rules, did you read them when you got on here? You should have, im still considered a new person but that doesnt mean that i cannot follow whats being set before i was here. Bumping or reposting is not allowed because thats like stepping on all the other peoples heads to get a couple inches higher than everyone else, in this case, front page. There are people that have been in the classifieds for awhile now, anyone bumping or reposting every day would make it unfair to them who are following the rules. If you need to sell something quicker than this, try ebay then, just trying to help ya out

It’s not a new rule, It has been there a long time, The only reason you were able to post before is because there was a glitch in the system

Like Ron said, there was a temporary glitch in the system that allowed members with less than 50 posts to post a Classified thread. Derek fixed the glitch.

Posting “a bunch of crap” is exactly what they don’t want people to do. They want members selling who are part of the community, not just showing up to pedal their wares. Of course people are still going to be ripped off, there is no way around that, but hopefully some will be less likely to rake others over the coals if they get to know them first.

If I see someone posting in the classifieds that just made 50 quick random posts on the forum, I just don’t read their classified ad.

:supz: Agreed

Well to be fair, i was kind of angry when i wrote the inital post and i appologize for that. I have USED myers net for quite a while now but didnt register until i purchased a mask from a fellow member. I am not only a regular but also a well known user of Horrorbid. To be fair, with my schedule its quite difficult to be a “full time” member of both. The appeal to mm.net was the classifieds and the gallery, and i have made some great connections from this site… BUT, i think it should be the BUYERS responcibility to check the sellers credentials before making a purchase, Although i can see how restricting user rights based on activity can weed out a lot of scammers and fly by’ers… I also see how it effects someone like me. Mind you i can log on for the next month saying, nice mask, looks good, sweet pics, wow gj sam, and get my 50 posts, but does anyone know me more?? I just think its a double edged sword that im at the tip of… :frowning:

Are these the types of posts i need to make to become “better known” ? Shape Shifter… if you would have done some research, or even read my original post prior to commenting on it… you would have noticed the post in the classified section was done done well over a week ago. I did read the rules, am not ignorant, am not back stabbing anyone for front page, nor do i appreciate the implication of any of the above. Aside from that i appreciate you teaching me something i already knew, introducing me to ebay (which i was unaware of  ) and the attempt of trying to tone down your aggressive post by adding, just trying to help ya out.
