Spectre V1 vs The Hero

It’s fine man I honestly had to give it a second glance myself! The Spectre is really one of those masks that gets swept under the rug but that photo above really shows how close to nailing that original look it gets!

Yeah, that’s the thing. I’ve always felt it doesn’t get it’s just dessert. The Etsy photo doesn’t do it justice at all. My copy is the prototype and the same. IMO, it’s the best mask out there that adds the castle stretch. My photos are unaltered with the exception of making it black and white. Maybe some day I’ll want a mask that looks like the hero when not worn by anyone, but I want what was seen in the movie. I think it’s much easier to make a mask look like H2 Warlock and that’s why they’re so many of them. Achieving the H1 Castle stretch and clean is much more difficult, particularly because Nick made it look different from scene to scene, not to mention When Tommy wore it in the closet scene. Nick’s face made one look, then he’d open his mouth a bit and yet another new look. In the end, the Etsy photo vs my prototype isn’t the copy difference. It’s just a photo difference.

so the one you’ve got is indeed the newer model you’re gonna get if you order one now

Yes. Father Phantom has made three Myers masks. The original run is not in production. It was originally the V1. However, since it is now out of production, this mask is the new V1 and he also has a V2 which Is a Warlock H2 stretch. He posted them on this site a while ago.

Ok now it’s much clearer, can’t wait to see some better pictures of the new V1 on their page then since the one of Etsy is a little off

This is my original Spectre that has been discontinued. This had stretch in it as well but it’s much less, more like when Castle didn’t have his mouth open. Looks a lot like when he punches through the kitchen door at the Doyle house.

The true Spectre V2 compared with the now discontinued V1 (or V0).

V2 is by far the best original Shape mask. My phone does not do it any justice. I’m hoping to shoot better pictures very soon.

The comparison is actually pretty clear here, both look great and the new model is now well displayed and it just rocks, nothing to do with the referential picture on Etsy, this is gonna be my third choice now, should I fail to communicate with Nag and Justin I’ll go for a Spectre.

@Richi Caterpillar, when did you receive your copy?

I reserved it months ago and picked it up on Friday (I work near their studio). It was a quick turnaround since I was willing to wait longer.

This really is a beautiful mask. I fully recommend it to everyone.

I’m not sure what I can reveal but the Halloween 2 spectre looks stunning so far.

It’s recommended best for 24 -25 inch heads. I have a lot of curly hair that fills the mask nicely.

I have both long hair and a big head, so far 25" is supposed to be the right size for any replica for me, it’s just gonna be thinner than smaller sizes
