Anyway, saw this a Halloween City. I’m sure most of you saw them before, but this is first I’m seeing it in-hand. ToTS should be ashamed of themselves. Crazy eyes notwithstanding, it’s just really ugly and cheap, imo.

Picked up some stuff at Spirit last night. So much stuff to look at in there, I need to watch videos on all of the animatronics to see which ones I might want.
Picked up the Myers bobblehead I wanted, mostly drinkware beyond that. Also got a multiprop remote control which I couldn’t find last year. Will probably do a weekly trip though the season.
Then went to Party City and got a few cups. Really liked that H2 design.
Thought it was interesting PC had a Michael Myers animatronic, since I thought those were only at Lowe’s this year.
Nice haul! I’ve been in 6 Spirit stores now some multiple times and haven’t spotted the bobble head yet.
They had 3 or 4 at my local store. They were fully stocked of most things, it seemed. They had at least 5 of the Michael Myers lighted statues that have been a super hot item the last few years (and going for $100 plus on ebay over that time). I finally got one last year, felt like I got a rare item, now they seem to have an overstock of them. Haha. Must be doing this to try and curb resellers. It seemed like they had a lot more new stuff last year, though, as I bought a lot of stuff I saw last year. I do like the new Beetlejuice led lighted door mat.
You mean the ones where he’s stabbing the pumpkin? Those are nice, too. I’m glad to hear they restocked these! Too man times things come and go (then go insane on eBay) and you wonder why they don’t make more! I bring up Stranger Things a lot, but merch has been insanely HTF to the point one of the Target Funko Pop exclusives sold for over $200 just a few weeks after it sold out. It’s been 3 months and still no sight of a restock. Seems like throwing money away to me.
Anyway, I’m gonna call around to a few stores today, maybe I missed the bobble heads or they got them in recently. If not, there’s still a bunch of stores with “Opens in September” by me, so i can always check there on opening day.

Yeah they call those statues on the tag. I’ve been to 2 stores, both had many available.
It seems that most Spirit stores get a delivery truck at least once a week, so they could get stuff at any time during the season.

Found the bobble head today. Not even sure why I picked it up, I don’t really like them, I just think it’s cause of the hedge being involved!

I don’t care if it’s $5. It looks terrible. You wanna skimp on paint apps, weathering, details, fine. Times are different now. Things cost too much to make and companies need to keep price points down, so corners have to be cut, but that’s unacceptable, IMO.
Well I think it looks great for what it is - a $20 mini bust. It’s a great sculpt too, so you could even make a fun rehaul project out of it.
