Hello all. My first post though I have been lurking around here for awhile. I thought I would give a heads up to where to get some great coveralls I found in case anyone was looking.
On Ebay sold by I believe snoopiecoupie are some Reed coveralls in spruce green. I think they have a couple sizes available. The pictures appeared to be much lighter colored than I wanted, but for the price $13.50 +shipping I thought I would give em a try. Received them today and was pleasantly surprised the color turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. Similar to the school scene in H1. Looking forward to weathering them a bit.
Just thought I would pass this on.

Here are a few pics. These are size 44 chest 33 inseam and are just a little long. Gonna have the wife hem them up a little. I’m 5’11" about 205lbs and i’m hoping after a few washings they will shrink a bit for a snugger fit although I could get away with it as is. They seem to kind of change color with different lighting as I tried to show in the last couple pics, pretty cool. Sun was shining through the window on them and I was just messing with the curtains to change the lighting.
Sorry the pictures are a bit grainy.
Not too bad for the price!
I wish Reed was still making their coveralls this way. To my knowledge, they no longer make spruce; the only colors available on their site are navy blue, royal blue, a fairly light charcoal, and white. Also, these have a slightly different front pocket design and have elastic on the sides like the H1/H2s, which the current production reeds unfortunately lack.
Yeah I saw that on their site too. I was considering going for the charcoal, but saw these.
They were listed as new with tags on Ebay. They are new, but I wonder why they were so cheap. I was thinking maybe some kind of factory imperfection, but the only thing I see is the Reed tag is a little tilted.
Weathering coveralls is quite fun, but can be tedious. Just remember, start out lightly weathering, and only add more weathering if you think it needs it. You can always add more, but its hard to go back. Good luck! If you need some help with anything let me know and I’ll try to answer to the best of my abilities
One tip for weathering: spray paint can be a good choice for making oil spots and general “wear” patterns on coveralls, but it leaves the coveralls kind of sticky and smelling like…well…spray paint . If you go to craft stores (michaels, hobby lobby, etc.), however, you can find fabric spray paint that leaves the coveralls considerably less sticky upon drying and has smells much better. you can get more “spray” out of a can of regular spray paint as the cans are smaller, but they’re not expensive at all.
