**_Just got this mask in the other day and it’s a beauty!
This is a replica (cast from the movie mold) of the mask made by KNB FX that was originally used during filming of the
seventh Halloween movie which was entitled (at the time) “The Revenge of Laurie Strode” to be later changed to “Halloween H20”.
As most of you know the movie was played to a test audience and some kid basically yelled out “That’s not Myers!” during the presentation. This apparently caused panic to the film producers and shortly after the Stan Winston FX company was contacted to make a new mask and the rest is history.
This is the last “white mask” that I needed to buy in order to rid a gaping hole in my collection of Myers masks. I like to have several various H1/H2 replica masks in my collection (as H1 and H2 will always be far and away my favorites) and then just one or two Myers masks for each of the looks in parts 4-10 . I also like to have at least one of any other masks Michael wore at some point or the other in any of the films such as the clown mask, the “Brute” mask, the Escape mask and so on.
Being that “Michael” wore this KNB mask not only in the majority of the original shoot of H20 but also it can still be seen in the final cut made it imperative I had to have this mask!
I can’t say I like the KNB mask as much as the Winston but it is a good piece in its own right and a must for the Myers masks completist.
SSN always offers an accurate quality product and this mask is no exception. By far and away the closest thing you can get without owning the hero!
Nice score Benny. Ive wanted one of these for years, but cant seem to find an affordable copy. Need to fill that V1 hole in my collection as well. Love the finishing on this copy. Congrats on the score!
Thats one of the best copies ive seen. I would also love to snatch one of these babies up one day, but the prices are a little steep for me as well. Killer score man.
Aaaaargh, that copy is nuts! I’ve been on the hunt for one of these for years as well. Big congrats man, probably the hardest spot to fill in any collection.
Thanks guys, it took me quite awhile to getting around to securing one of these and now that I have it I can’t fathom WHY I waited this long! Great mask and it is one that really grows on you.
Man Benny, that is a stellar copy. Is this all original SSN or was it redone by someone. I really dig the shape, I think I am going to go re-stuff mine to try to simulate the look of yours more closely. CONGRATULATIONSon filling that void in your awesome collection brother.
