hey all, i wanted to give a brief review and sort of rundown my situation here. I ordered a tcm eric silicone mask from josh russel of killer replicas around 1 year ago…it was last december that i payed him my $550 dollars and he replied “yeah ill have it done in 2-3 weeks” those weeks expanded into months, more months, MORE moths, and his communication and customer service dwindled with me. around 5 months after i orderd it from him he finally sent me a picture of the mask in progress, all it needed was the back half and the hair. i was excited, but he didnt talkt o me after that, and continued to ingnore me untill about 3 months later, and all he said is that i would simply “get it when its done” do you think this is the way a paying customer should be treated? ive sent him countless emails all in vain, and ive sat up many nights in frustration trying to figure out what to do. i decided to let him walk away with my hard earned cash since theres no wa i can get it back.
i advise everyone to NOT BUY ANYTHING from the user Starjerk (Josh Russel) his lack of communication and procrastination does NOT compensate for his artistic skill. remember, its been 1 year since i ordered my mask, and 6 months since he last talked to me.
again, DO NOT BUY FROM USER STARJERK, he will rip you off by having you pay him first and never giving you the mask or re funding you. ive met 20+ other customers who have had the same experience as me, half of them never got theyr payed for masks.

Yeah, Josh is a no good thief and a liar. I feel your pain, being one of the fifteen to get ripped off on the H1 clown mask project. I believe we’re on month number ten now with no direct communication from him. He used to be a decent guy, but like so many others in this hobby he’s now turned to the dark side. Avoid this loser at all cost.
Yeah I feel for you. Not with this guy but about being losing money. Ive had 2 Mo’s stolen and then some buyers frown when you want to pay by check. I only deal with buyers who accept checks because you can stop payment. Hopefully Ill get my money back on the Mo’s.
That works both ways. I do not accept checks because you can stop payment. That is unless you’re a very good friend that I’ve dealt with for years.
No clue why Josh went downhill. He had a good thing going and seemed to be on top of his game for the most part. I haven’t talked to him in a year or so now… it’s a shame that he joined the rest of em.
As far as stopping payment on them I would not send the product out until the check cleared. You have to jump through hoops to get your money back on Mo’s that are lost or stolen and PayPal is nothing but a rip off.
I would never usualy say or put something like this up here but looks good on you dude . I dont know about how many people on this board know but you recasted a subliminal versus corey taylor mask made by Alex Wood and tried selling shitty recasts , which I feel you should be banned from the site for since Alex is actualy a member here as well but just dont post much . I also heard of you trying to rip people off through ebay . Now I will say alot of people have 110% right to be pissed with Josh but in this case I am glad to see it happen to you its Karma did you recasted someone elses hard work and this happened to you so in my opinion that balances out the universe of recasters just a little bit more
I talked to Josh about a week ago and he does plan on sending everything out. He was working on a movie, then went right from that to working on a haunted house. It doesn’t excuse the lack of communication from him, but I just wanted to let ya’ll know what he told me.
Why even bother explaining. If it does not excuse the fact that people have been waiting over a year for one person to go to the post office what are you even posting that for? What does that mean “he’s planning on sending it out” Does there really need to be a plan in place? And what magical plan is this that it’s taken over a year to unfold. Never mind the lack of communication, he’s taken alot of people’s money & has not sent nothing out because he’s busy at a haunted house??
The point is he screwed people out of alot of money so the reason for the screwing is not really important is it. The bottom line is he screwed them.
josh took along time on my 550 dollar scream costume, but i finally got it from him about a month or more back, so i have no problems with him now, and sickoclown, i fully agree with you on that subject about six recasting that mask, Z
This is one of the things I can’t stand about this hobby. There are always a few people who will defend the shysters to the end. I’ve heard “Don’t worry, Josh will come through” about twenty times now from the same two or three people on here, and I’ve had enough of it. Josh is the most deplorable businessman I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with . . . PERIOD! Regardless of whether or not he decides to man up and do the right thing is irrelevant at this point; he has completely turned his back on his paying customers. Also, just because someone finally does the right thing after months of badgering does not mean that they should be forgiven. It never ceases to amaze me how people can “forget” about all the horrible stress and anxiety that they went through with a seller the minute the item arrives on their doorstep. Seriously, members who have never dealt with this joker are going to be reading this post, and the last thing they need to see are people defending his immoral practices or making excuses for him. Please, if you’ve never dealt with Josh before and are thinking about ordering something from him, do yourself a favor and don’t!
I’m not making excuses for him. I’m just telling you what he told me. I think it sucks too. He’s piddled around on stuff for me before and taken forever. I know it sucks. I just don’t think he’s a thief. If he were, he probably wouldn’t answer the phone when I call him.

He was busy working on a movie then a haunted house? I work in the film business and have worked on 4 feature films (3 independents and 1 Major Motion Picture) since I sent him money for the H1 Clown Mask and I’m getting ready to go shoot another Major Motion film in LA the first week of Jan. and I also had my first child a few months ago - so him working on a film and a haunted house is no excuse at all! I know it isn’t your fault CBK and you’re just telling us what you heard, but Josh needs to step up and get us our products now or give us all our refunds. 10 months waiting for the H1 mask is plain ridiculous and a slap in our faces and not answering to any of our emails or paypal refund requests is unexcusable.
I don’t recommend dealing with Josh in the future either for anyone… but he needs to do something to get all his current orders completed or refunded. CBK and Addison, I hope you two can talk some sense into him about this since you are the only 2 here that talk to him and Addison lives in the same town as him.
Him holding our $ with no product or updates labels him as a thief and fraud in my eyes and many others, not cool what he’s done at all especially here in the MM.net community.
Well I have never ordered from him and never will.CBK I know your just letting everyone know what you were told.When someone takes someones money and does not come through with their product then refuses to answer emails and pms he is definitely a thief in my book.If he does send the product out a year later I still consider him a thief .All he is trying to do then is save face so people will order more shit from him.Im truly sick of people who do this.I do not know josh personally, and he may be a descent person in some peoples minds, but to me he is someone who does not keep his word and I try to avoid that type of person at all costs.Just my opinion…
josh is an amazing artist and his talents are film worthy no doubt about it! but he cant keep treating his customers like crap and putting off projects and dragging his ass so much…his products are top quality but he just doesnt have the motivation to finish them because he already has the money so he figures ill just finish it off next week. just an update i talked to one of his good friends who has popped out top quality leatherface masks and custom painted/haired them and gotten them out to me under 10 days by the way, and he said he recently hung out with josh, brought my situation and alot of you other’s up, and he simply feels “bad” for me and you guys, and i will “get my mask” for sure… hes been telling me that since last april, which was the last time he talked to me!
Didn’t want to chime in but a majority of my good friends have been waiting for a very long time from recieving their stuff from Josh. If he has time to HANG OUT with others then he should have time to get things out. FEELING BAD up to this point will not help those who have been waiting. He pmed me once and said he’d make me a TCM replica. Sounded great but after a year of all this it got me thinking…Glad I didn’t
yeah good you didnt, hes unreliable and checks his email about 4 times a year, he hasnt spoken to me through a year and the only way i can get a micro “update” is through gettin his friends to ask him. i cannot believe he calls himself an entrepreneur or even a reliable salesman for that matter…
