Starman by Nils Reucker

hey everyone, I’m buying an h1 mask to finish off my ‘78 cosplay. I was wondering, is the starman by Nils Reucker accurate and worth the money? It’s $400.

just wanted to check before I drop a big amount on a mask.

Id go for it myself if I had the money to spend. Looks great.

Probably my favorite lifecast sculpt out there right now. And the finishing is excellent. I say go for it!

Bad-ass mask :jack_o_lantern::+1: I’d go for it as well

Does he have any pics of it being worn? That’s always the selling point for me

Edit: I found his etsy page. Looks killer. He included alot of pics but no profile shots? I don’t get that. Sucks that he’s all the way in Germany though. From what I can see this looks just as good as anything I’ve seen Nik put out

unfortunately he doesn’t, that’s why I was on the fence about it but I could not get over the fact that it looks exactly like the one Nick is holding in this picture.

This is a pic of a worn by a guy on discord . Looks good to me. I was told its a 24.5 inch mask. I may be getting one soon as well

that’s perfect, it looks good! my exact size too, thank you so much. this helps out a lot!

I’ve been watching Nils’ progress on this mask since the beginning and I have to say, if it were smaller I would have bought one already.

He sold a small-pull a few weeks ago, but I thought the eye cuts were a little too large on it for my taste. I wanted it so bad, tho. It’s hard to find a great mask in a smaller size.

Starman is top-notch. Really hope for a small version someday.

Yep too big. Should offer more of a actual movie size mask. One day hopefully:jack_o_lantern:

I actually told him that I have a smaller head and would be great if he could make a smaller one.

“i can try and make one smaller with a higher drying temperature but with a 22.5 head i would definitely go for 24”

This was his reply. Hes got great customer service and easy guy to deal with .

That’s cool. Seems like a real good dude

I, too, have a 22.5” head.

Unless you don’t mind stuffing the mask while you wear it, 24” is too big. 23.5” is the way to go IMO.

I agree. My proto 98 is about a 23.5 inch mask and it fits me best

Yep my 98 is around that size if not slightly smaller too and it fits me perfectly. I have something like a 22.5 inch head. For whatever reason many artists make their masks as big as possible and I just don’t get it.
