every track on Cypress Hill’s III (Temples Of Boom). Dark, eerie and unforgiving. Plus it was released in October '95, so i associate this album a lot with the halloween season.

The Samhain version of Halloween II is a bit slower and darker than it predecessor. While Halloween I and II share the same chords and melody Halloween II features a Latin chant whereas Halloween has English lyrics. The Misfits released the Halloween 7" in 1981 with Halloween II as the B-Side. Samhain released Halloween II on November Coming Fire in 1986 (2 years before the band would become Danzig).
You can hear Halloween II in the background in Rob Zombie’s Halloween during the Lynda sex and subsequent murder scene in the old Myers house.
I’m HUGE on using film scores for Halloween. It always puts me in the mood when I play a track or two. Here are my top ten.
Chariots of Pumpkins - Halloween III
Reel 9 - The Fog
Hall of Mirrors - Hellraiser II
Drive to Santa Mira/I Really Love This - Halloween III
The Alter - The Omen
Rod Hanged/Night Stalking - A Nightmare on Elm Street
Unlock the Door - Halloween
Sterilization - The Thing
Christine Theme - Christine
Tales From The Crypt Theme - Tales From the Crypt
Glenn also redid the following Misfits songs with Samhain: Horror Biz (Initium, 1984), All Hell (Unholy Passion EP, 1985). Glenn also recorded early versions of what would go on to become well known Danzig songs with Samhain. You can find these in the Samhain boxset on the Final Decent disc: Twist of Cain and Possession.
