Guilty as charged or not, Terry is and always will be a loser period.
This goes back years before the whole Jay Allen debacle, the turd duped Justin on the run of NMM78’s back in the day and has a history of being shady with other members as well. Whenever people brought this up in the past and spoke on Terry’s name, posts were deleted and they were banned from the community. Screw that! Terry doesn’t run this place and he’s lucky he even has a leg to stand on after everything that’s happened over time!
No problem at all - my frustrations were not directed at you but at the issue itself. The only reason I didn’t lock it was because I knew there would be backlash/drama and people have the right to speak about this. I’m trying to address the concerns so we can put this issue to rest and move on, without people feeling like we are brushing this under the rug or protecting someone/hiding information. The reputation of this site means a lot to me. It would have been a lot easier to ban him, but I truly feel like it would not have been right based on the information I have gathered.

You are entitled to your opinion about him. That’s totally fine. I have opinions, but as the owner of this site I have to try to stay neutral and not disclose how I feel about these issues. It’s my goal to be fair and look at the facts. If I based bans off of emotion and my personal feelings, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
As far as people being banned for speaking the truth that’s absolutely false. People were never banned for speaking unless they broke the forum rules or added fuel to a fire that they had nothing to do with. PM me a username of someone we banned and I will look their case up.
This is a very unfortunate situation and I’m frustrated to even be a part of it.

_I would like to add just one thing.
Derek and we mods had a good deal of conversation about a post being made addressing this issue before it was actually posted.
I know many members get frustrated with the fact Terry is still here and I understand that totally but I also want everyone to know that Derek was extremely fair. He was very respectful to the fact the issue needed to be addressed but at the same time wanted to make sure he kept this place FAIR and to do that personal opinions (or even what one thinks but can’t prove) has to take a back seat.
Trust me when I say that just because Terry is here does NOT mean it’s because he has been given any kind of free pass. Derek’s number one concern was and remains this site and its members and (imo) good, level-headed judgement from Derek is a key component of why this place is what it is thirteen years and running!

I agree with that to a certain extent, but Terry has done good people wrong during his time here. I seriously doubt Justin was just saying that to hear his own voice or other members as well who have had problems with Terry before. We as a whole community need to band together and keep stuff like this from happening, regardless if that person has “done something” for the hobby.
I can’t tell you how much it burns my ass, when I hear some moron say. “As long as these guys(crooks in question)are making quality masks, I’m all for it and I’m buying” Maybe if people dropped the ‘what can you do for me’ attitude this community would be in a better place than it is right now.

Derek this is your site and Yes YOU are the boss, and like you said you need to be neutral but as “The Boss” you need to show a good example, and Imo this is Just Rediculous!! As a person who is on the outside looking in on the Topic of Terry Lambert It has Always looked to me like you have been protecting Him, and making excuses for him and the reasons why you havent banned him.
Found guilty or not guilty in court is TOTALLY Irrelevant! The justice system of ANY country is a Joke.
As a member and artist I find it an insult that he is allowed to be on this site for ANY reason.
If you want to be “Fair” and Just, Why dont you open a thread that the members of this site can vote on

-Ban him FOREVER!
That way everyone has their say and nobody will be able to argue with the result.

very well said! and NEW BLOOD brings up a good point as well, maybe a vote would be the most “democratic” and fair thing to do for the site. I obviously dont know that details with what happened with terry and the courts, etc BUT I can recall countless amounts of threads with posts all calling Terry out on all kinds of scams. Is it fair to the people who were ripped off to see that he wasnt banned?
Bob MMFX ripped me off of a grand for almost THREE years. All the while he screwed others as well, but there were a few people who said, “his work is good I’ll still order from him”. That pained me to no end. Are we a true community? arent we supposed to band together against thieves?
I think most people know that CGP exists and they know where to go to get one of Terry’s masks. He doesn’t need support here. Just my opinion.
Hey I respect everybody here , but heres a question for each person here: If it were your 75 kirk that was misplaced/destroyed /or stolen would he still be welcome here ? were talking 10k/15k.jays insurance may have covered it but thats a mute point. lets not forget about the year delay on the subpar 30th mask …The only reason he made good on the 30th orders was so he could return and open his business again …at the end of the day all people have to pay for all wrong doings and i would hate to be in his shoes…
So has everyone else in the scammers thread been tried and convicted? The insurance company ruled in favor of Jay, the mask he received back has been confirmed as a recast. I think it would be in your best interests to ban him if nothing more than to protect your members.
Just my two cents.
Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute. The way I’m reading this is that:
A. A court has ordered that Terry can’t be banned.
or
B. He his threatening court action if he does get banned.
Are either of those assumptions correct?
Here’s my biggest concern here, and I feel it’s being avoided. Jay clearly received a recast when he was supposed to get his original Kirk back. There’s no question about it. So why is that not enough for Terry to be banned?
Basing your morality on the legal outcome is understandable, I suppose. But it’s 100% clear that the mask Jay received was not the mask he originally sent. That is theft, and thieves should not be allowed on the forum. Thieves have been banned before, and should continue to be banned without exception. Unless Jay expected to receive the recast rather than his original (which I’m PRETTY sure wasn’t the case)…it’s not right to sit back and allow Terry to continue his membership here without repercussion.
I completely respect you, Derek. Without you, this lovely forum would not be available to any of us. And if you were merely a member, I’d applaud your non-bias feelings on the situation. Often times, it takes a bigger man to NOT voice his opinion. But in this case specifically, you are the one with the power, and I just don’t think it’s fair to base your opinion on the legal outcome when the facts that took place here on the forum are clear as crystal. One of the facts being that till this day, Terry has not returned Jay’s original Kirk mask.
Again, no offense intended, but I don’t understand how you can type out those very words and not think to yourself how it may come off as a bit of double-standard. If you have to warn your very own board members of another member’s existence, don’t you think it’s a bit of a red flag?
Basically it all boils down to that Derek can’t ban Terry cause it could potentially start a bounty hunt, meaning that every artist involved in making Myers masks has dirt on them(to some extent) and would be considered favortism in this case. You can either do business with Terry or avoid him, your choice…

Just glad Jay got his money from the insurance company. It’s hard to get your money from them after a flood when you have flood insurance let alone trying to convince them a 30 year old latex mask is worth $15,000 and get paid.
If someone doesn’t want Terry to be banned that says only one thing about that person: SELFISH. I know more than one people who say don’t want Terry banned because “What does the Jay Allen situation have to do with me?” or “I don’t care what happens with others transactions, as long as I get my mask I’m fine.” These kind of statements disappoint me. I do not know why people can’t take the time to think about others and they’re transactions. They will not put themselves in others shoes either.
What i dont like about this is, if anybody else got caught recasting masks that other artist made they would be BANNED 
no question??!?

This is exactly the position we are in. Like it or not, just about every artist in the community has been accused of recasting, stealing, or some other situation which would warrant a ban if true.
Again, almost every artist in the community has been accused of this. I’m no mask expert and I don’t have the ability to 100% determine what was clay pressed and re-tooled. I will say that very reputable artists that frequent the Myers scene have been accused and several members feel they are without a doubt guilty and lying about it.
The court threw the case out - it’s POSSIBLE there’s more than we know.

UPDATE: I have received new information previously unknown which could change things. Stay tuned.
I have also sent an email asking for documents regarding the said ruling of the court. I’ve decided that if these are not presented, a ban will be justified.
