What amazes me is…look at this friends list on Facebook. Quite the list. No offense…no way in hell would I even do that.
Ya… These threads often become an argument because recent customers will point out that they had good service and received their mask… But yes, he destroyed the kirk and tried to cover it up… My understanding was that Jay was paid out essentially an insurance claim, which Sam McCain assisted with by providing details to the adjuster that the mask returned was not the original… I believe the insurance company then went after Terry in civil court… To my knowledge Terry has never admitted to any of this… You can see some topics in the “similar topics” section at the bottom of the page that cover the history, including the crypt Co entity… Which many think was Terry pretending to be another person/company.
I sent Terry money for his brain tumour… he used to be a good guy… but now he’s bad.

Truly baffles me why anyone would want to buy his product. And it’s not like he offers anything so stellar that the hobby needs him. Warlocks are a dime a dozen (not to mention way outdated) and I can’t remember the last time I saw a fuss over a FEAR mask.
If he legitimately wanted to make a cast off the original, he should of asked for permission. Everyone knows making a cast can rip apart an already delicate piece of latex. This story actually haunts me thinking this happened to a 75 original. This is something that is like the movie ghost or flat-liners where you should try to do everything you can to make it right. Its not nice what happened.
I get that people are pissed about his past. But he was recommended because he makes a great mask. Not sure why that’s hard for so many people to understand, it’s pretty simple, there is nothing “baffling” about it. Some people just want a good product and ignore the past; from what I understand he is much more reputable now. I bought a mask from him and had zero problems. And from what I understand that is the current norm.
Buying from him is a moral decision, nothing else. He makes a great, affordable product.

I agree with this. I’ll say it again… If Terry has done bad things in the past, that is sad. But, it has nothing to do with the quality of his products. His quality is top notch. Just my opinion.
I could somewhat understand if the Warlock was a decent looking mask but it’s ugly as hell. I had one for a few years before I realised how much it looked like a basketball with a Myers…esque face. People are going to buy what they want. I’ve nothing against anybody who wants one. People will buy what they like. Terry will always be a piece of crap though.
Quality takes over Eithics, Judgement, Character and Morals. Right?

No, quality doesn’t “take over”. It’s that his morals have nothing to do with me.
So screw everybody else so long as you got what you wanted, right? This is why so many forums have a “no banned member promotion” policy. There’s always sycophants sucking up to cult personalities like Terry’s. The man is scum, and anybody who buys from him is supporting scum and thievery. Second chance? The guy’s second, third, and fourth chances expired years ago.

No, it doesn’t. But people want quality products and if they want the product, then it’s absolutely within their rights to buy one. I feel like I have a high moral standard but I just love that mask so much. Having said that…
But here’s another moral standard. How about Second Chances? Do you not believe everyone deserves one? And from what I’ve seen, Terry has been good to deal with for quite a while now. Are you not willing to acknowledge that perhaps he has become a better person?
People tend to be too judgemental. Not that I’m saying any of us compared but we’ve all done some crappy things in our lives.
And to suggest someone is being sycophantic to merely put over someone’s good work is a whole other level of ridiculous. That’s not sucking up, it’s giving someone their due. Even if he’s a garbage human being, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a talent or doesn’t make a good product. Too many people cannot distinguish things like this from each other.
And what some people consider to be scum is subjective, anyway. I guarantee I could find something about any and all of you judging Terry so harshly that many people could use against you to consider you to be scum, too.
