The coveralls in the movie (no this is not the same question)

So, in the original movie. Everyone sees different, and it was revealed that it looked like a green washed in gray (that video has been sent before) but my question is something i think nobody asked, but what are they supposed to be like in the movie universe? Not thinking about real life and actors but in the world of Michael and Laurie Strode. Are there any lines that clearify what color they are in the movie universe? (Example: Nancy said in the original nightmare on elm street movie that she was chased by a guy in a green and red striped sweater.)

I ask this because it annoys me a bit that in most media (the most common for me being dead by daylight, that myers coveralls are vERy navy blue even though he is based off the first movie)

I always thought, as most do, that Myers wears navy blue coveralls. That’s how they look for most of the first movie, with the exception of the daylight scenes. You can see that when TOTS put out the “green” coveralls, it just doesn’t look right, and people were quick to point out that they should be blue.

Since Myers stole his coveralls from a mechanic, we can assume they were dark blue. Mechanics get dirty often, with oil, grease, blood, antifreeze, etc. so we can assume they won’t be wearing light colors. Blue is the most common color to see mechanics wearing, so it could be a reasonable assumption to conclude that Myers coveralls would be blue. (If you google “auto mechanic” images, this assumption can be backed up…)

Well if you look up 1970’s mechanic coveralls you will find many colors. Blue, grey, green, olive etc.

I don’t believe anyone in the movies have ever mentioned Michael’s coveralls, but in reality, I believe they were charcoal gray. As you point out, many people see green, but I just don’t. I will say that navy blue is a very safe color to go with if you can’t find charcoal gray, or any other commonly accepted color.

What’s funny is Halloween 2018 they bought charcoal gray and then dyed them blue! Hhahhhahh

That is the color on my H40 Neca figure…blue with a hint of grey

I don’t believe they dyed them, as many people believe. That rumor started when a guy started offering to weather and dye the coveralls to be “screen-accurate” in bts pictures, they’re very clearly charcoal, and in some lighting, charcoal can appear very blue. Pic related. Me in my charcoal Workrites
