Good morning Haddonfield, this crisp November 1st comes with a special breaking report! In this quiet, peaceful Haddonfield suburb, the howls of werewolves and the cackling of witches turned into cries for help and screams of terror as what was assumed to be late-night trick or treaters by local residents were ignored. Here, at 1537 Orange Grove Avenue, a massacre that could only be described as horrific was discovered by the Haddonfield Sheriff’s Department after a call came from a neighbor’s house at around 11:00 that evening that someone was attacking and trying to kill a local high schooler.
Three bodies were discovered in a brutal bloodbath at the residence, all set up like twisted Halloween decorations for someone to stumble across. The three victims — identified as Annie Brackett, Lynda Van Der Clock, and Bob Simms — were officially confirmed by Haddonfield authorities, but investigations into the potential of more victims are ongoing. Residents of North Haddonfield were put on high alert after gunshots were heard from the neighboring 1740 Orange Grove. Laurie Strode, the sole survivor of the carnage, claimed to have come face-to-face with the Boogeyman himself, a claim further verified by the two children that she was babysitting that had helped get the call in that the killer was attacking her. She claimed in a statement that evening that her attacker had stalked her and her friends throughout the day in costume, and then attacked and killed that evening.
Later, authorities apprehended a suspect at 45 Lampkin Lane, confirmed this morning to have been Michael Myers, a former resident of Haddonfield who escaped from Smith’s Grove Warren County Sanitarium on October 30th. Michael Myers had been institutionalized for 15 years after the murder of his sister, Judith, on Halloween night, 1963: an eerily similar event in Haddonfield history that the residents of this small town have been trying to forget. Among articles seized at 45 Lampkin Lane, a white latex mask just like ‘this one’ was in Myers’ possession. His assigned psychiatrist, Doctor Sam Loomis PhD, went on record to claim that he shot his patient 6 times, and that he had gotten up and walked away.
“I shot him 6 times! I shot him in the heart! He’s not human!”
This innocent and innocuous mask was one of a few items earlier that Halloween morning that were stolen from a local hardware store on Main Street, including rope and several large kitchen knives. Whether the crimes were interconnected is a pending investigation, but there is no doubt in my mind that they are. This, folks, may be the Face of Tragedy for the Home of the Huskers, worn by its very own Boogeyman, living only 150 miles away in a cage. Back to you Dan.
A special thanks to Se7enSinS Studios for their work on my H40: a fantastic copy, and one that looks and feels like a true Myers mask. It is, singularly, a mask that will hold a special place on my shelf for all time.
Hey, thanks you guys! When I get my Legion H18s back from CreepyCustoms, I’ll get some shots in the H40 and put them side-by-side some other pics I had made earlier in my Creep.
Thanks. Just got my Wolverine Steel Toes in the mail. It’s not the ARCTIV8s, but they’re still screen accurate to HKills, which is supposedly the same night. Sooooooo… better than nothing. My coveralls should be shipping out this week as well, so hopefully I’ll have my whole H40 set before the end of next week.
To my understanding, that’s probably gonna be the case. I was told that Mr. Mabry starts working on his masks around the middle of Summer, and then sends them out after Halloween, with some being sent out before then. It’s why I opted third party from here from someone who was selling their Creep.
I had ordered mine in November. I shot message and he said he was working on mine and it won’t be long now. But that was last month. I don’t want to bombard him since I know the man is busy. But if getting it on or just before Halloween, that sucks.
Well, it might be shorter than. You could see it, potentially, as early as May, maybe June or July. If not then, don’t fret. It might arrive just in time for Halloween, since he does mass shipments. I was on a 3 month waiting list for Se7enSinS’ work on my mask. Though I’d shot him out a message early and shipped it out like 1 month after I asked. So, in reality, 2 month wait or so. General rule of thumb with indie mask makers and repaints is that masks don’t get done quickly, unfortunately. Hell, my work with the Grim Stitch Factory outside of here took 4, 5 months or so.
Those both look killer! Ordered a Creep just before Halloween. Still not here yet but if it looks half as good as the pictures I’ve seen here, I’ll be a happy man. Heard nothing but good things about Justin’s work.
Justin’s work is top notch. There is reason it’s considered one of the best alongside NAG. Though, true screen accuracy to Kirks is more in line with NAG, whereas Justin’s work is more akin to the “screen accurate Myers”. I have some other posts here in my Creep if you want to see some good images of me in it. There’s one in particular at the top of a stairwell that I’ve been told screams Michael Myers, perfectly.
Yeah I’d like to see those. I was looking for the more screen accurate Myers look, so glad I went with Justin. I hope the wait isn’t much longer, but knowing that it will be quality makes it worth it.
