Just came across a listing on Ebay for black combat boots listed as Vietnam era made by a company called McNamara with a familiar and distinct tread pattern, by which I mean they have EXACTLY the same sole as the Part 2 boots. However, they DON’T have the rivet in the corner of the stitching like the boots identified here as the Part 2 boots.
I’ve managed to obtain navy blue Sears shirts that are EXACTLY the same as the Part 3 and Final Chapter shirts…other than their being navy blue. I have this idea that if I ever manage to get anything done as far as Part 3 and Final Chapter busts are concerned, I could use the shirts and portray it as a sort of retcon thing in which the navy blue of the shirt from The New Blood was always the color of Jason’s shirt.
@TheGhostlyShape whats up guys and Nathan I found out some new info for the FvsJ costumes,
Jasons pants in freddy vs jason are dark brown and not black .
When marios collection went up for sale, propstore took some huge 4k photos in really good lighting.
I see that the pants are dark brown with tiny black specks almost like a wool or terrycloth material.
I know ken Kirzinger described themas a stretchy sweatpants type material.
You can see it when jason goes flying and lands on the docks , the fabric stretches and springs back to shape.
You can see the brown colour in the pics untouched, and I brightened them a little bit so you can make out the colour.
Not really, the only weathering is the rips/tearing and fraying. The fabric is such a dark shade of brown they appear black.
When you see them in the propstore photos they are very well lit photos you can make out alot
Also 97% of jasons scenes are all at night in the film, the only day scene we get hes coming out of the water with freddys head.
And the fabric will appear darker when its wet too
@TheGhostlyShape whats up Nathan I just identified the brand of the Jason goes to hell machetes.
Propstore auctioned off the two screen used machetes from JGTH
and The HD pictures show off the manufacturers stamp/brand even with all the rust and weathering you can still make it out
They are “Hansa” brand machetes made in ecuador, I included another picture of the stamp from a cleaner blade for reference
I’m surprised you don’t have a huge collection of the horror films stuff that was made in Canada, I mean you have the Coveralls from Resurrection, you ought to get the VS stuff!
I could I guess
Im making the Jasons costume from Freddy vs jason right now. Im just making it for fun not for halloween or anything.
I always keep my eyes peeled when im in the thrift stores, Thats where I found the Resurrection boots for $16 good luck finding that price on
peebay
Haha, yeah man, stuff is way more pricey these days, but you definitely ought to stock up on those Resurrection coveralls, I am wondering what size I should get, cause I’m thinking of getting a pair just to put with my Tradewears, cause I love the Ressurection coveralls and Myers
I just want to mention the relatively minor detail that the end of the grips on the handle of the machete in Friday The 13th Part 3 had the angled piece (which I suppose is a design feature intended to better accommodate a lanyard or possibly to extend the grip for the sake of those with larger hands) rather than the straight 90 degree type that the example in the picture does.
What I’d like to know is at what stage the change in the vent hole placement on the Part 3 masks came into play, such as whether they cast the Fibrosport mask, changed a bunch of holes around on that by filling the existing holes in and making the new ones, and then started enlarging the mask by vacuum forming one on top of the other, or they got each mask to where they wanted it and then did that filling and drilling with a pull they then used as a buck. It might save some prospective mask makers some time, materials and some annoyance if someone like Robb Wilson King or Douglas White were to divulge that information.
I realize that some people might think of it as a rite of passage to go through all of it yourself, but for one thing I am not really me, and have not been for over 14 years, having suffered what I have every reason to believe to be the ultimate torture and enslavement ever suffered continuously for that entire length of time, beginning in my mid to late 20s, with it also being compounded constantly by a preponderance of other problems that began to happen during the same period which I would have trouble believing anyone else suffers from in and of themselves. That being the case, given the tremendous suppression of my mental and physical functioning it entails (which has stopped dead on multiple occasions, proving its artificial, deliberate and perpetual causation and origin, by the way) I think attempting to avoid that which is not really so much a part of the creative aspect of things but a more practical matter is the least that I have the right to do even leaving aside the infinite right to any and everything that I have justly and rightfully earned by suffering this ultimate, unprecedented hell in the place of my life.
I did just recently manage to find some Genesco Jump Boots with matching Sole Pattern from what I can find, the ones with the accurate soles were produced during the 1960s (up until about 1969) so if you’re crazy about accuracy there you have it
