Got a question for the community regarding the history between Halloween and Halloween II, as I’ve hit a dead end.
So, one of the most repeated bits of trivia online is that Debra Hill kept the mask after Halloween and that she smoked. Does anyone have any idea where this information originally came from? I’ve done a deep dive and can’t find anything from Debra herself regarding this or otherwise a remotely credible source to back this up. I’ve been around since 1999/2000 and can’t even recall when this was first said.
I know part of this has been debunked by the Nick Castle 2011 Monster Mania video, where he confirms that he kept the mask and Debra called to borrow it, but on the other part there’s not even a single photo of her smoking back then.
Does anyone remember anything?

Yes, during Halloween II she did. Really does look like the info about her keeping it after Halloween (as has been repeated endlessly over the last 20 plus years) was either made up or someone got the wrong end of it. Same with the info that she was a smoker

Which of the five screen-used masks from Halloween (2018) is the actual hero mask that JJC wore for most of the film? I remember way back that some people believed it was the mask Nick Castle was gifted after filming, while others claimed it was the one Chris Nelson takes with him to conventions. Has it ever been confirmed which mask it actually is?
