I really think Wayne Toth walked the extra mile when it came to the practical Make-up effects on Halloween II. Much kudos needs to be given to him for making everything look so realistic and cringe inducing. The hospital scenes with Laurie on the gurney and in the operating theatre look exceptionally real. It’s refreshing to see a movie were CGI hasn’t been used to enhance a make-up. Also throughout the movie the scarring on Annies face is always constant in colour and position. This is the most difficult aspect of Make-up in film; The continuity of making something like Annies scars look identical in placing and colouring throughout the shoot. I think this movie should be nominated for its practical Make-up effects alone.
