PIC HEAVY.
Well The 2k Kirk prototype just arrived and I am completely stunned…
it is simply beautiful. After 20 years of wanting, I finally feel like I have that Kirk off of the shelf in 76’ given that I’d never get to own a mint one this is identical, I knew it was a gorgeous mask but getting it, holding it in different positions… fucking amazing.
Its perfect in size, colour, thickness, hair, and sculpt and smell!.. This is the first time I’ve taken shots of any Kirk mask I’ve owned and been hit with familiar images of Kirks I’d seen in vintage pics, with regards to what is right in front of me. Every angle just screams original Kirk to me. Darren told me I’d be completely floored by the accuracy when I saw it and I am completely and utterly. My huge thanks to Nik for making all of this possible, and taking me on for the 2k Myers. Incredible work Mr Dresios, I can now see why it was hard for you to send this lol
This is officially my end all for masks, Ive got the Kirk Ive always wanted and the Myers. I’m done and happy to be so. To all of the members with various incoming Kirks, if you come close to feeling like this you’ll know just what I’m on about…and I hope you do. Not to sound melodramatic, but it’s like a long search finally over. I’m feeling pure latex joy… quite a feeling, and I KNOW a lot of you know exactly what I mean.
I cannot say enough here but I’m going to stop.
This is what I saw when i opened that box… and I swear my heart skipped a beat…

These are initial pics, I plan on matching up vintage shots and taking a plethora more but that will take more time and effort than I have today, so a few quickies for now…some may be similar or doubles, and a lot of the same light or angle,but I’m freaking out right now. :laughing: Better pics are comin’!
Oh yeah the mask came with a very cool Kirk shaped foam stand like Josh Warren’s old Kirk had.:slight_smile:
My heart is racing so I’m making a gin n juice to calm me nerves.

Very nice! Nick more than outdid himself on this sculpt. Between this and your Hertlein score I’d say it’s safe to say you hit the Myers lottery so to speak.

I’m still in shock at how accurate this is to my original mint 75, it looks like it’s twin brother and it amazes me big time!!

Thankyou all, and Darren, I’ve never ever been so blown away by ANY piece I’ve acquired, its that tangible feeling that you know you have something special in your possession, and your words are perfect, scary accurate work. Damn this has made me dizzy happy lol
