Why does everyone think that the clown mask that was the second choice for Myers was the DP 67 EK mask? It’s very likely this was not the mask as it was already out of production in 78 and a few years before, there were dozens of other clown masks available at the time and it doesn’t match even closely to the description Wallace gives the cown mask in interviews.
ive noticed that too he says in the interview that it had crazy googy red hair and a big red nose
and the emmit kelly mask had molded hair and the nose wasn’t very big either. but i do agree with
you that mabe it wasn’t an emmit kelly mask they were going to use.
Oh and just to clarify, I AM looking to buy one as its a kick @$$ DP mask so I’m not knocking the mask - just curious as to why it’s assumed the 2nd mask.
I asked a few people about the mask and one replied with “You know, that was almost the Myers mask in Halloween.” 
It could of been this one clown with this cigar in its mouth, I forgot what it was called, maybe someone knows what I’m talking about.
I agree though, I don’t think the EK was second choice.
Tommy Lee Wallace does say in his interview that they were thinking of using the Emmett Kelly mask, he says Emmett Kelly mask.

Tommy bought a clown mask allright. It was a Lou Jacobs mask that they put on Will Sandin. 
I thought I should chime in…it was unknown and secret information up till recently when Far Out Productions got the inside scoop and released the true 2nd Choice Mask…the “ILLOGICAL”
