I’ve been considering doing a DBD Shape get up for the Halloween season at some point after I’m done with perfecting all my main costumes from the films. (H78, H2, H4, H6 and H18)
The mask itself looks nice, but yeah that one eye cut is pretty bad. The sculpt is a Starkiller 78 from Horror House Customs over on Etsy and IMO it works really well as a DBD mask more so then it does a 78, and that isn’t a bad thing. As someone who plays quite a bit of Dead By Daylight as Michael primarily, I’ve come to like his stylized look quite a bit and haven’t seen anyone do a fully accurate get up to his depiction in the game. It’s also interesting to try and piece together a costume from a game as opposed to something from a film, allows you to be much more loose with the brands and all that.
For a DBD Myers look I’d probably go with the following.
Charcoal Red Kaps (Same pocket designs and stitch pattern for the most part.)
I get at least one shitty message per hour from someone mad I killed them, no matter how legitimately I play or how many opportunities I give them to get away (that they don’t take.) I stopped playing because I got tired of the shitty, shitty community for that game.
HOWEVER, the game itself is really fantastic. Myers is a blast to play, he has some great perks. Turn off your messaging somehow if you can.
DBD community is one of the most toxic around, I had to block all messages by unknowns, yet someone requested my friendship just to leave me insults inside the presentation form, when it happens I just report it to PSN. Survivors moan about campers while they also take advantage of the ingame flaws, looping is also as annoying as camping, yet the game still allows that so there’s nothing much you have to complain or insult killers, they also complained about killers keeping slashing hooked survivors cause according to them it’s just stupid and useless, so how about their teabagging?
I play as a killer (with a perfect connection) just to annoy survivors now. I played as fairly as I could (ridiculously so) for a long time, and people STILL COMPLAIN EVERY MATCH! So I said screw it, and now i hunt one of them relentlessly and keep them on a hook no matter what. If I catch you, you’re dead. Then I get the rest a good percent of the time as well I got so tired of the messages and whining that I just don’t care anymore. It’s a game about killers and survivors, horror based, and they all seem to just want the killer to let them go!!! Play something else!!
Well to be fair, what other thing are they going to do in a chase? It’s their best bet to live. You cant lose a good killer, just throwing down pallets is going to screw over your team, playing stealthy isn’t fun, and running window to window is at least a guaranteed injure with bloodlust being a thing.
I don’t mind survivors looping and all that stuff, to me that just sends a message to go look for someone else, lest you waste time on one survivor while the rest get all the generators going. It’s legitimate, imo. Despite that, I have had games where I haven’t managed to kill anybody, and I’ll still get shitty messages, name-calling, harassing, etc.
It literally is just the shitty messages that bother me. It’s like if the killer does anything but stand there, or walk around, they are wrong. If they don’t kill somebody, they are wrong. I’ve played infinite rounds of other games, hours upon hours upon hours of gaming, and I might get one angry message per year elsewhere. I’ve never gotten an angry message in Overwatch, for example.
I like getting messages, I think they are funny. And some survivors are not very good but if you by chance don’t kill em all than they think they are amazing for a second and start throwing insults. The community goes in a circle, it starts with people playing like a dick, then goes to people being angry about it, then goes to those people insulting other people/playing like a dick to kinda vent, then the cycle repeats. That’s my take on it anyway.
people have got to understand that we have 2 roles here, one has to survive, the other to kill, if survivors are SWF rushing generators, looping around pallets and other things for minutes just don’t complain about “noob campers” when they get you since the game allows both things as a strategy to win, I never messaged any looper or gen rusher with insults etc, on the contrary they did if I tunneled someone or campered once in a game. With certain killers campering and tunneling is almost a must, but they just urge killers to be generous with them, always giving them a chance to get unhook and escape, otherwise they freak out, truth is that good survivors are more than able to distract campers and unhook friends just the same, so whoever complaints and sends insults/threats is the real noob here.
Just going to warn you, you can camp all you like but most of the time the survivors will just ignore you and the survivor on the hook and they will do gens and all get out but one. I mean it might work occasionally but that’s only if you get braindead survivors, and btw you better get used to salty messages pretty soon, they will happen A LOT. it doesn’t matter if they are good or bad everybody gets angry at one point and sends angry messages. I tend not to camp but I tunnel occasionally. Looping is a more viable strategy than camping, and if the gens are getting done fast frankly that’s your fault. Never tunnel the best survivor all game, that’s how you lose. Take down the weak ones first and in between saves you can catch the good one. Didnt mean to come off as rude at any point btw, just trying to give some tips.
I’ve been addicted to this game for the past month or 2 - ever since it was released as a PS4 monthly freebie. Really fun. I haven’t unlocked Myers, yet, but played as a survivor with someone using him as the killer. Feel free to message me PS4 gamer tags if anyone wants to play.
They will insult you even if you camp occasionally, I’m well aware that camping is generally not convenient, but sometimes it works cause stupid survivors would dive into the hook the moment you impale one of them, so moaning about campers is just stupid, camping one survivor means 3 gens done at least, it’s not my fault if they immediately come to free their friend, when they do the hooked survivors work as the best bait, hence they are the noobs here, and the ones who text you insulting the killer is the frustrated noob who couldn’t win, period.
Each match is situational, occasionally camping could be useful, but at high ranks and against SWF you better patrol gens and put pressures on survivors otherwise they’ll rush gens and if you’re playing as Myers you won’t even have the time to reach Evil Within tier 2, but I’m sure you know that already.
Tunneling is also legit, if you have an obsession perk or add on you have to go after that one, same thing if a survivor is a noob and keeps getting caught and can be disposed of in 5 minutes, again I’m here to kill them, not to sell french fries .
As for salty messages as I said already I blocked all messages coming from unknowns, it happened only twice that they requested my friendship just to leave an insult in the presentetion form but I reported them to PSN immediately, but blocking incoming messages from non friends pretty much sorted it.
I got so tired of the messages and whining that I just don’t care anymore. It’s a game about killers and survivors, horror based, and they all seem to just want the killer to let them go!!! Play something else!!
