The Sudden Turnaround.....a visionary take...

If I had a creative bone in my body, I would look at this sudden turn around in a different light. I would probably set the scene up with some visually stunning cinematography…you know…like some roadkill or something, blood seeping from beneath it’s tattered skull…glistening in the moonlight.

But then I would lose all track of what I was doing. And then I’d fill the screen with flashbacks…visually stunning, nonetheless. At this point I’d throw in some underlying meaning. Perhaps something along the lines of…big plot twist here…here it is…I make some of the turnaround fake. And then I’d twist it to where they are trying to invite/entice a certain individual (and perhaps more… ). Maybe they would assume if everything was positive that “someonetheliar” might decide to enter the labyrinth once again, only to be annihilated by it’s very existance…some bearing vengeance, while others willing peace.

But then again…maybe they just want to see the movie hit the 20 million dollar mark before it hits it’s one week release. The way I figure it, it’s going to beat out TDR’s run of 35 days in theaters. It made a little over 17 million with a 7 million dollar budget.(http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=devilsrejects.htm) Not bad! I’m just curiuos as to where H2 ends up in 35 days with it’s 15 million dollar budget. I’m no genius or anything…I don’t even pretend to be one on a message board…but if you do the math, and add in the HUGE Halloween fanbase, this movie only adds up to FAIL. Not saying it didn’t have it’s “visually stunning” scenes…it just had many more “wow…didn’t see that douchebag moment coming at all” following shortly afterwards. Buzzkill from where I come from. Bottom line…H8( trickortreatmotherfucker) had a budget of 13 million and made 30 million( http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=halloween8.htm. Do the math…is it lack of interest…or lack of talent? Whodathunk?

But then again…I’m just stupid!
