Two new options might be: 1) piffle and 2) monkey lovin’. These 2 words get me through every day with two small children.
e.g. “That mask is the piffle!” & “Monkey lovin’ sweeeeeet!” ![]()
Believe me, they catch on!

FINALLY!!
Thank you Mike for starting this thread! As per our PM’S the other day…
I have been typing here for many, many years & the profanity bothers me a lot. Why do it on a message board??? You cannot allow a curse word here & there, it is ALL or NOTHING! To me, it should be nothing! I have been redirecting people on here for years about profanity… On the internet it can be perceived in a negative manner towards each other, sometimes “message sent”, is not “message received”…
I say if someone uses profanity on here, BAN them!
Again, thanks Mike…

I wholeheartadly agree, some people need to buy a thesaurus. Using too many swear words degrade the quality of the english language, like Rob Zombies Halloween. ![]()
Anytime bud!!

I agree 100% and if I see another smart alec remark from people who have a hard time with it, its an instant ban.
i agree to an extent. what gets me is the fact that some are appalled when they see it online yet they’ll watch R rated movies all day long and never give it another thought.

This is not my forum and I do not curse on here at all.But I think parents should be more aware of what their children are doing. If a child does not want to see curse words i suggest them not going on any forums.I go to church every sunday and so many hypocrits attend with their hangovers.I have not drank a beer or any alcohol in nearly 20 years.I do not however consider anyone bad who does have a drink.I myself do not let cursing get to me as there is just to much other stuff to worry about. Its on tv every day on nearly every channel.Put a filter in as suggested if you truly want to do away with it.I just want everyone to practice what they preach here.I have 3 teenagers myself and if the worst they run into in todays times is cursing on a forum I consider myself a very lucky father. There are so many obstacles for kids to overcome today.I would hate to see people banned for cursing…Come on guys lets keep it a fun place to come.
In my own variation of what others have said, if you just HAVE to use this language on a public forum - take a cue from BSG & Firefly & make up your own version of the words.
I don’t think using “bad language” proves anyone to be ignorant or unintelligent. When I nearly took my eye out the other day, trust me - I wasn’t running around saying, “Wow, golly gee that was certainly painful!” No, it was MUCH more “colorful” than that. While I agree with George Carlin’s ideas about “naughty words,” I’m not completely insensitive to the beliefs of others & often refrain from using language that might offend.
It’s not that hard. I’m know I’m guilty of letting something slip here & there, but we can all find a word to replace what we’re thinking of before we let our fingers do the typing ![]()

There will be no instant banning for cursing. There will be warnings to clean up the language and then we will take it from there. Just clean it up is all I ask. Got real tired of members getting upset for whatever reason and posting an f bomb extravaganza. It is simply a “give an inch take a mile” situation. I tire of members taking that unnessesary mile. So just stop, because it is not needed here nor is it necessary to get a point across.
Everyone has been doing a great job of refraining by the way and we appreciate it.
I am all for a filter but dont exactly know how we go about it. I will work on it.

I really don’t see the need for the whole “no swearing” thing. This is a forum of a serial killer (as said above) if kids come to this site, then they obviously seen the movies. & the movies have ALOT of swearing & nudity. So what they read on here is nothing new to them. I absolutely mean no disrespect to anyone but if you don’t like the swearing, why do you watch horror movies to begin with?
Most theaters you have to be 17 or older to watch a rated r movie anyway. So imo if swearing becomes a rule, then members should be 17 or older to post on these forums. (although proving someone’s age would be a almost impossable)
Again, I mean no disrespect to anyone. I’ve been on this site for years & if I didn’t want to read someone using foul language then a slasher site would be the last place I’d be.

understood and i understand your point. a slip here and there is going to happen, but when i see F this & F that & FFFFFFF in one post, it is just unnecessary. Clean it up, as a respect to Derek, the MODs, this forum and all members.
