The home was remodeled this way recently, for upgrades to sell. The previous owners had basically left it in pristine condition. as the way it looked in Halloween, '78! I love the pics of the master bedroom, as it was until recently. The hallway where The Shape stabs Laurie, and where he’s hiding as his mask fades in from the darkness, it was basically untouched since '78! You can relive those parts of the movie, when you see that Hallway from that angle! As far as the laundry-room, I don’t think it ever was used as a laundry-room , I think that was the creativity of Tommy Lee Wallace! It is without a doubt the coolest House from H78m, in my opinion. So many things were filmed in it, and around it! It was recently sold. Those changes you see are recent. Up until it was sold, it still looked the way it did in '78! (For the most part), I would have opened it for like a week or two every October, for fans to walk through. They would loved it!
Now that is way cool,it has the most memories for me besides the fact most of the kills took place in that house and it’s garage, and also a lot of behind the scenes stills are in that house, awesome that the hallway and stairway is as it was back in 78,what i wouldn’t give for me to be allowed to do a weekend’s costume shooting in that hallway and stairway.thanks for sharing this man.
Jonathan always has amazing pics. Thanks for sharing these gems. I always wondered what it really looked like inside. (and what house they used for “interiors”) Thanks again!
You’re most welcome! I’m so happy & glad that you like 'em!
This is the house they used for the interiors. It’s two doors down from The Doyle House. It’s right nextdoor to the house that’s next to the Doyle’s where Dr. Loomis & the neigbor are speaking to one another.
Neighbor: “What’s goin’ on, out here?”
Dr. Loomis: “Call the police. Tell the sheriff I shot him.”
Neighbor: “Who?”
Dr. Loomis: “Tell him he’s still on the loose.”
Neighbor: “Is this some kind of joke? I’ve been trick-or-treated to death tonight.”
Dr. Loomis: “You don’t know what death is.”
It’s also located directly across the street from the house they used for the Wallace house exteriors.
Here are a few more pics of the front of the house, that they used for the interiors.
What has always intrigued me about the exterior’s besides it looking very different to how it was in Halloween is just how close the house is located to the road,in the Movie you get a real sense of distance between the house and road’ even when Michael is standing behind the tree stalking Annie as she arrives at the wallace house to babysit Lindsey, just shows how different the perception of things are on film.in that 3rd shot where the house # is located on the curbing’ is that the tree Nick was standing beside in that scene ? i know the Doyle house still looks pretty much as it did in the Movie not much has changed to that house which is cool.
