These are the greatest masks for one reason, and one reason only. You never see his eyes.
With the other masks, you saw his eyes at least once or twice, but with these you never saw them ever.
As any fan would tell you, the eyes are the most important aspect of the mask, not the facial features, but the eyes themselves.

Since you seem to be speaking for all fans I’m gonna have to disagree man. Parts 1&2 for me whether you see his eyes or not 
I would strongly disagree. These masks or at least 1 of them for sure went down as the worst mask in the franchise history. But I get what your saying. Just not in my eyes lol.

Unironically these two masks have become two of my favorites in the franchise, used to absolutely hate both of them but over the years they somehow made their way into my top 5 lol 
I like H4, simply cause it’s the last mask converted like the H1 and from a Kirk
Although I prefer the H1 and H2 look, I still think it is cool that these masks exist, and can understand why some collectors really have a large collection of H4s and H5s!

I’m not bothered by any of them. I actually like H4 and H5 was the first Halloween movie I saw, so I didn’t know any better.
H4 seems to be most fans’s first movie.
Personally I don’t like it, and I’ve grown to dislike it more over the years.
