Thin masks, thick masks, thin-ish thick masks, What do you prefer. Thick masks more than not last longer but wafer thin masks are more accurate but still last a good amount of time… I, myself like the thinner masks as your able to get different expressions much easier than a thick mask.
i like thick masks, they dont curl at the neck and can stand up on their own without a stand.
i never really noticed any lack of detail, alough you are correct on angles and different expression.
I’d have to say that if I’m going to wear it, I would prefer a thin mask. Thick masks are better reserved for display pieces, as apposed to wearing. Thin masks are a bit harder to display properly
yes i agree thin is more comfy and high detail, yet i very rarely wear mine only on SAMHAIN every year
plus when i go to put them on i get a fear of ripping them, cuz i got a big frankenstieen skull
Agreed. I like wearing the thinner masks, as well as the fact that they are more accurate. Thicker masks are great for displays but uncomfortable to wear and they don’t hang right on the face IMO… but that’s just me.
I tend to try to get masks at about a medium pull when I do them. I find that you can get the benefits of less curling and the like at the necks by adding just a little more weight so they are still nice and comfy.
I like thick pulls do to the fact that I never wear the masks. I’m not the type to spend upwards of $450 to wear them and let them deteriorate fast. The only exception is I want a Buried, and I want to wear that mask, even though it’s this as a balloon. I’d much rather prefer to let it lice a few years longer than to have it “accurate” and only last a couple years.
I guess it depends on what I plan on doing with the mask. I really love the thin pulls for that cheap, vintage feel… but the thicker pulls seem to display for me.
