This is why you should protect your mask

Bryan Hoffman used some really bad Jelly latex. Look at this. This is what I fear most.

I dont know if 303 would even save this to be honest!

Love how the seller is saying its a castle stretch when really this is what rot looks like.

Has anyone ever notced MCS or Bryan Hoffmans latex would get gummy ?

Sadly many of his masks had suffered from this. Not saying all but many rehaulers had stated the latex is really weird on some of his pulls.

Could it be stuffed it regain it’s shape? that honestly made me giggle though

The eyes remind me of puss and boots lol.

I have a Bryan Hoffman mask that he signed “test 1/1” that was also worked on and signed by James Carter #1. I must have one of the good ones. I just took this pic of it. I keep it up in my closet out of light with plastic bags.

There is a tad bit of sag but not nearly as much as the later copies of his masks.

Looks great by the way!

That mask on eBay looks like the micro wave got involved

LOL! H1 “Burrito”

Oof. It can be saved though. Not just with 303 alone. Have a Shatner lifemask like this one…
https://www.ebay.com/itm/William-Shatner-Life-Mask-Cast-Captain-Kirk-Used-to-make-Michael-Myers-Mask/282838327475?hash=item41da7a60b3:g:xPMAAOSwImRYd-vh
Put the lifemask inside the mask so the features are flush (nose and mouth important here as the eyes are cut and not Kirk eyes). Stuff the combo with some polyester fill or plastic bags. Have a vaccum storage bag, place the mas+lifemask+fill combo inside of it, seal it, I usually hold the thing in between my legs and then with my hand make sure the indented spot between the eyes and the nose has the bag flussh with the mask+lifemask combo, I also make sure the forehead is quite flush and pinch my legs to hold the bag+mask+lifemask combo together so it doesn’t move, then with the other hand I vacuum out the air. You may not get it right on first try, but all you have to do is open the bag and let air our, re-seal it then try it again.
The neck will usually not align perfectly, so there may be a crinkle. Make sure to only have the vacummed mask+lifemask combo in there for 3-12 hours at a time, then let the air out, let the mask breathe and the neck go back to normal for hours (I’ll usually put some stuffing in the top of the mask’s head then place it on a liter soda type bottle then use a soft gauze wrap to hold the front and side of the neck flush with the soda bottle to help get the crinkle out faster and smoother), then do it again. With a mask as bad as the one linked to it may take up to a week of doing this to make sure the shape sticks. Make sure to not apply 303 to the mask’s exterior before doing this, the interior will likely help though.

I’ve saved many many a mask doing this including several HMK’s and a DCSM 2, including one I just bought (I’ll see if I can get pictures). The lifemask is too big for the small HMK’s, but they all seemed to have used better latex anyway.
The DCSM linked to is supposed to have a stretch to it (DCSM stands for dedicated Castle stretch mask), so the latex rot exaggerates that even more than on most masks.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Bryan Hoffman should be ashamed of himself he used this terrible latex and charged people so much money for it while cost cutting. Maybe this is why the Hmk while an interesting concept is not even a mask people lust over considering its a copy of the 75 mask that he was able to borrow.
His latex doesnt hold up.

That’s the least of why he should be ashamed of himself
