TLW's "Son of Hero" came home... (WORN SHOTS ADDED)

awesome score man! Don’t let go of that one!!! :drinkers:

Thanks, guys! Y’all are amazing, I’m so glad most of you can see where I’m coming from! I really appreciate your support and enthusiasm! I’m not sure what Matt is talking about but I knew him as a negative person and I was actually expecting him to come up with a negative remark. Let me make this clear for those who doesn’t understand, I DID NOT ask TLW to try to replicate the Hero… I simply asked him to convert my Kirk using the same methods he did back in 1978. I’m actually happy with how the eyecuts turned out! Hell, it looks like it’s just sitting around waiting to be used in the movie! Again, I REALLY APPRECIATE all of you guys giving kind words! Y’all are the best!

Also, my Dad sent me this picture that he took of the mask when he had asked me to come over to his house to show him the mask… He wanted me to add this photo to this thread. It looks great in my opinion. Thanks again, guys! :sunglasses:

Also, I will try to come up with worn shots tomorrow.

Dude…this last picture really captures the mask :open_mouth: I’ll say it again…I really like this mask and the fact that it came direct from TLW…Damn it! Of course hold on to this guy…but should you decide to part with it :sunglasses:

Yes Randy Exactly  i said when i first read colby’s post before about he and Tommy had arranged this that i thought it was a cool as hell thing for Tommy to do’ and just shows that the guy’s a true gent to do a conversion for a fan,i also said if it was me personally i wouldn’t even request how i wanted it to turn out i’d just let Tommy do his thing and if he fucked it up so be it’ i’d still be overjoyed that he’d been the one who’d done the work and that would mean more to me than the perfect Hero converted by anyone else so thats saying something about TLW,as if it wasn’t for that guy who knows where we’d be now or what we’d have as Masks if anything at all for that matter who knows, and this Mask may not be the most accurate but as Bridge said who cares if it isnt, and i still think this mask is still a Great looking Mask that should be given a lot of respect and credit

Thats a sick looking mask. It is exactly what a Myers mask should be. Raw and ready to be used and abused. This is a mask that nobody else has and is certainly not cookie cutter. That’s what I like about it. It’s perfect in my eyes.

I think the mask came out awesome congrats. But more so I get the significance, even if it came out looking like the mask in your avatar it still would be amazing just bc of the converter.

Now thats an awesome one of a kind score, congrats! Nice and simple just like the HERO,a kirk spray painted white,I think it looks awesome and just the fact that TLW converted it is enough for it to be a simply amazing peice.Cant wait to see the worn shots

I’ve been waiting to see this masks outcome, It looks pretty awesome to me, and I would be proud to own a mask converted by the original converter himself. Fantastic score brother, thank’s for the follow up. …ANDY

I think this whole concept is original and very refreshing! You have a really nice and totally unique Myers mask, and it looks great. I love the hair! Very cool idea, thanks for sharing.

Big congrats Colby :drinkers: :drinkers: :drinkers:
Like we talked thru mail, that’s a score of a life time :sunglasses:
Love how he added instructions on the lighting
I’m so glad you shared this with the community. It’s not a score you get to see everyday!

Unique and one-of-a-kind by TLW, what more can one ask for! Congrats my friend, beautiful mask to say the least. :drinkers:

Thats really sweet. Did he mention what he used to paint the mask? I love the look of a solid white mask that weathers over time from oil on your hands and the elements.

The whole mask looks very well done, I will admit I was skeptical at first, the eyes even turned out good. I also like that whole white look to it, it’s exactly what the hero had.

Is this a first in the MM community?
If so, then this is incredible!
Congratulations for getting a Kirk converted by The Man who gave us The Shape mask.
Did he do the hair too? or just the paint?
The hair seems to have that pompadour poof to it.

Congrats man!!
A special piece indeed!

Wow very cool and Interesting! Thanks for sharing. These are the kind of threads that keep me coming back.

Colby, as you know I’ve been looking forward on seeing this since you first announced the project. All I could say is WOW!!! Awesome, just awesome. That is what you call a one of a kind piece. That’s a keeper my friend. I’m so happy for you brother. How about postin more pics of that bad boy.

Congrats, Colby! It’s a very cool mask to have. Are you going to suit up and give us the full effect? :sunglasses:

It doesn’t get cooler than this!! Way to grab a KILLER score bro. :drinkers:
