TLW's "Son of Hero" came home... (WORN SHOTS ADDED)

I know a lot of you are familiar with the project I was involved with Mr. Wallace but for those of you who are not, here is a thread where it all originated; https://forum.michael-myers.net/t/the-project-maskfest/41193/1

TLW completed the conversion and filming on Wednesday 2 weeks ago and kept it in his house until the following Monday to be certain that the paint and dyes would be dry… He insured it for $2,000 and shipped it through Priority Mail, it arrived last Wednesday morning. I’m very happy with how it turned out, it was completely what I had hoped for. TLW explained that the Hero he converted 33 years ago had zero weathering and was purely white, the mask looked different in the movie because of the shades supplied by Dean Cundley who was in charge of that department. The 1978 behind-the-scenes photos truly show how white the Hero was, just like the Son of Hero. TLW believes that it’s “pretty much the real thing.”. It just had that special white that took my breath away when I pulled it out of the box. He really cracked it, again. I’m very proud to own the Son of Hero. :supz:

You really can’t make out much from these. Maybe take some outside in the sun.

NICE…That is one hell of a score to have from TLW. Huge congrats on that one :open_mouth: :open_mouth: !!!

That’s awesome, man. One of a kind score

Thanks, Nick and Richard! I really appreciate it, brothers! And Richard, I didn’t forget where I got this Kirk from.

I was still uploading photos, I just added 1 in a bright light. If you still want some outside shots in the sun, I can do it later.

It is a very unique, amazing privilege to have a mask converted by the original converter.

Congrats!!!

What a Deal,What a score,Having TLW convert a mask for you is off the charts and yeah,Cundeys work really made the hero look that much more impressive to the eye with lighting & shadows etc. :drinkers:

I think it’s awesome as hell that he did the mask, but the eyes are way too round for me.

In my opinion: who cares if it’s not 100% screen accurate? It’s your Kirk to do with what you want - & getting a TLW conversion was a wise decision & very lucky score! Big congrats, Colby.

Couldn’t agree more. Great one of a kind score brother!

Now that’s a special mask! Congrats on that one of a kind scorage, Colby!

I couldn’t agree more

ABSOLUTELY!!!Bottom-line is that it  's to have a mask that TLW converted. It’s not like he had an art in mind when he did the first one.He just butchered the Kirk and it turned out that we all analyze it over and over.Hey,if TLW would have done the original mask the way this one looks,we’d all be trying to replicate every last detail of THAT look.I just think it is awesome as shit to have something that Tommy Lee Wallace converted.Again, congrats Colby!!!
:drinkers:

Looks great man. Just a white mask is how it is suppose to look. Any chance we will see a couple worn shots soon?

Very unique and cool thing to have Colby. Who the hell cares how accurate the cuts are…it’s a TLW conversion. Enough said
