As some of you know, I am giving my kidney to my father. This process is a long process that is about complete now, were looking into febuary because of the expenses. We have started a non profit orginization that takes donations for the expenses of medications that are not covered by insurance, the stay in the hotels(after wards have to stay within 50 min of the hospital for a month), and any other expenses that come up! I am going beyond my usual self and asking that if anyone can donate to help my father and I out in our transplant it would be so greatly appreciated! There will also be a website going up soon that i will post a link to that you guys can go on and look at the whole situation, I will be finishing it this weekend. I appreciate any support we can get from my second family here on mm.net and I appreciate Derek for giving me the opprotunity to do this.

OMG bud, I am very sorry to hear what you’re going through. It’s making me cry to be honest. When my Dad was dying, I offered to give him whatever organs I could to keep him alive, but he was far beyond any chance of survival and he wanted me to take care of my own Son. You will be in my thoughts and as soon as I am able to help out financially, I will do so. Can you either post it here or PM me there area you’re looking at for the hotel? I am an IT tech for the largest resort company in the world and maybe you’ll be near one of our properties…if so, I would definitely do what I could to save you some money.

Its really honorable of you do donate a kidney to your father.I wish you and your family all the best and my prayers will be with you.My father had a heart transplant in 1985 and he lived till 2000.We had him around for 15 more years than we would have without the transplant.Its a good thing your tissue type, blood type ,and all of that matched up to your dads.Good luck and I hope everything goes smoothly
