Tony Moran "Original Michael Myers" in H1 + H2...

Found this interview with Tony Moran were he says he played the “original” Michael Myers in Halloween 1 + 2. Don’t know whats going on in his head.

what do you mean you don’t know what’s going on in his head? He was the face of Michael Myers for Halooween and Halloween II

RIGHT ON!! :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman: :partyman:

He makes himself bigger than he is. “I played the original Michael Myers in Halloween 1 + 2” - he played him for 5 seconds…showing his melonhead in the first one, in Halloween II the unmasked scene was cut to 3 seconds…uuuuuh, i played the ORIGINAL :butthead: - Nick Castle did that, not Tony Moran - as we all know. At conventions Moran tells you for 20$ that he played Michael in the whole movie.

I don’t think there is any need to be so rude about it.

Tony Moran is a really nice guy, and as KennyD said, he was the face of Michael in the first 2 movies.

What does in mean that he “was the face” in Halloween II?

Tony Moran played the ‘unmasked’ Myers in H1. The scene was also used in H2.

Technically, Nick Castle is credited as “The Shape” in HALLOWEEN, not Michael Myers. Tony is indeed Michael at age 21 in the film. He has been known to take credit for scenes that he did not do, but I think a lot of the time he is just agreeing with excited fans that tell him they love him in a certain scene.

The real injustice is TLW not getting any credit for his scenes as “The Shape”. :sunglasses:

I agree with you Paul Stanley!

Be well,

I agree bro. TLW needs more credit indeed.

Tony Moran was Michael Myers. Nick Castle was the Shape.

5 seconds on screen or 5 minutes… doesn’t matter really.

He doesn’t have a big head about it at all. Fans are usually misinformed.

They think he was the Shape the entire flick, including the unmasking.

I can’t blame him for going along w/ it… probably more of a hassle to explain otherwise.

Agreed, TLW needs the credit he deserves…he played The Shape for one of the more infamous scenes in the movie.

Exactly…It doesnt matter…He is Michael myers and Nick castle is the shape, Donnie said that perfectly…I dont why people get so rude and upset about this…It probably is easier to just agree with people on certain things especially at a convention where things are just crazy…My first Monster mania I sat in the hotel bar with a few friends and had drinks with Tony Moran…He is very friendly and he didnt lie about anything when we talked Halloween…He was very honest about his role…I think he has every right to say he played Michael myers because he did despite how short it may have been…Hell he is the face of Michael myers LoL…At least he gets out to these conventions and interacts with the fans…You dont see Nick castle doing that…From what I hear(Dont know if its true, never met the man) he keeps himself distant from Halloween and doesnt interact with fans well…So Bottom line for me anyway is that I will always want his Signature on a myers mask or anything else Halloween… :sunglasses:

Yeah I guess if you also factor in that Nick Castle never goes to the conventions (and if he does, he avoids all fans like the plague)… well then someone has to show up to take credit for being Myers in the film right?

Why not a good guy like Tony Moran? He was the face and is credited for him at 21 yrs of age.

This is kind of off topic but… I went to begmovie.com (Tony Moran’s new movie’s website) and noticed he used Crypt co. Studios’ “Rot” mask in his film. I thought this was cool and was wondering if anyone else noticed this…

Since none of us were on the set of Halloween we can only go by what we have heard from JC and TLW ect. We all know from what they say that several people wore the mask (even JC himself) If Tony was going around saying that he was the only one who played Michael or The Shape in the movie that would be one thing, but I don’t think he does that. What he says is technically correct, he played “Michael Myers” albeit only for a few seconds

its kinda like when Warrington Gillette was trying to take all the credit for playing Jason in pt2
when he only did the window scene
Steve Dash played Jason

but I dont think Tony would do that

Is this DVD for sale yet? Anyone seen it?
-David

Tony was used in the scene where we all see Michael’s face, hence, he is the face of Michael Myers. And that unmasking scene is used in the end of H1 and beginning of H2, therefor he was technically in H1 and H2.

Your right, Donnie. In addition to scenes in the movie, many, if not all of the most iconic promotional still pictures are TLW. The top of the stairs looking over the banister. Leaning against the closet door etc. etc.
