Tony Moran

He’s an alcoholic

That’s Tony talking BS. He was simply brought on set did the scene and left. This kind of stuff is WHY the guy is hated so much

Go easy on him??? you’ve obviously bever met him, heard him talk lot of BS about what he did on the movie, talk crap about JLC, his actions towards Sean Clark… and so on and so on.

It baffles me that anyone but a kid with an idol complex would try and get someone’s autograph…especially someone like this.

I have a fairly extensive autograph collection. My desire to obtain autographs has definitely faded as I’ve gotten older, but they’re still a treasured part of my overall collection.

You’re suggesting that I should be equated to a child with an idol complex because I enjoy owning/obtaining autographs?

For fanbases like ours, I think it’s more about the experience of meeting these people, asking the questions you’ve always wanted to ask, and paying respect to their work. You buy an autograph for their time, and many of them donate a significant portion of those proceeds to charity. I don’t idolize any “celebrity”, but my experience of having met many of them is a fun memory, and I have some autographs as tokens of that experience. Everyone wins.

Kinda, without judgment lol. You collect them because of a adolescent memory I’m sure.
Now, if it’s a monetization hobby…people prey on fanatics who desire these things- even selling fakes which gives the whole thing a bad taste.

I have Joe Montana autographs… I collected a couple when I was 14-15 but I have no emotional connection with them. It be cool to meet him and talk to him but wouldn’t ask him to sign something for me now. It’s a business now… you think Nick Castle and all the others aren’t tired of the same questions over and over? They’re just there for money. And I don’t blame them, but they don’t see fans, they see a business. IMO

Years back when I got the cast of Phantasm to sign my DVD sleeve they were more than thrilled and I could tell they were in it for more than just the money. Every last one of them including the director. Same with Bill Hinzman and George Romero. Hinzman even had his iconic graveyard zombie makeup on. He was so into it. These are autographs I’ll cherish forever :beers::+1: To each his own I guess

Very well put

Oh god here we go with this…

Tony doesn’t get the luxury of being in the movie with the way I watch it because I just stop part 1 at that spot and start up part 2 to keep things going.

When I was a kid, the first Halloween film I ever saw was Halloween 2 on TV back in the early 80’s. I always found it scarier with how it cuts right before it shows his face because it left me terrified of what he looked like. Then when I eventually saw part 1, I was underwhelmed. Sorry, just how it was for me. Leaving it to the imagination worked much better for me.

Therefore, Nick Castle and Dick Warlock are Michael Myers for me. Bottom line. How he walks across the street in part 1, and how he walks to the hospital in part 2 are the images I think of. Its what I associate with the character.

Yeah I recently was watching one of Sean‘s videos (malfuncsean) and he posted an old interview with him it was the first time I’ve ever even seen this guy in an interview. He seemed quite awkward and apparently he had a falling out over some false information somebody gave him about Sean.
But it seemed pretty clear to me he was totally removed from the film personally wasn’t into it and thought why on earth would anybody care if I was in this movie which alone is quite baffling.
Sean did say he’s at many of the con events all over now and enjoys them but that interview was his first at a con.
But yes I heard he was only on the set for a very short amount of time. And it’s lunacy to me to call him Michael Myers just because he had a face reveal it is 100% Nick Castle and TLW that played Myers.
Also I can confirm that I met Nick Castle in 2019 my son and I went to meet him and he was super nice and delightful we met him the same day we met Robert England who was also just amazing with my kid. Anyway Nick Castle is definitely Michael Myers to me, Tommy Lee Wallace as well a bit, especially that closet scene! Lol
Tony just had a really neat role in the 78 film that he apparently cared very little about until later when he realized there were tons of people willing to pay for his autograph I think.
Innoway it’s not much different than Ted White with his role of playing Jason in Friday the 13th part 4.
I remember reading in Fangoria as a kid how much he didn’t want the job, was embarrassed by it, didn’t want to be there and hated being in the make up.
Years and years past and he’s realized it was the most significant role of his life and he is loved by millions because of it. So now he is very thankful for the role when back when he did it he pretty much loathed it. I remember how much that disappointed me as a kid because I thought it was likely the coolest job on the planet at the time.

Is it true Moran played the role from choking Laurie to being shot out the window???

Quite literally, the few seconds that you see Myers unmasked is the entire extent of Tony Moran’s involvement. The immediate moments, thereafter, are portrayed by Nick Castle and stuntman, Jim Winburn.

Thank you. I was curious

always wondered… but anybody noticed that during the unmasking scene, Tony Moran seems to have painted on eyebrows?

Maybe they put the ripped off eyebrows from the shatner mask on him

In one of the videos posted here on this page, he said a lady on the crew gave him vaseline in his hair, so the mask would
pull off easier. So his hair and eyebrows would be all matted down

These eyebrows don’t look like his normal ones!

That photo appears to have been run through Remini (photo restoring app). They look a little more normal here.
