So with 2011 behind us, I thought it’d be interesting and fun to do a personal countdown of the masks that made you tick in the last year or so. I’ll start…

#5 Bry’s HMK: I thought some copies didn’t look as good as others while some were very heroish.

#4 QOTS Artifact: Solid H9 to battle it out with the almighty Burieds and Destroyers.

#3 NAG MMK: Not many are out but by the looks of it, will be a top candidate for conversions.

#2 Nightowl Shat: Great Kirk and the few shats converted by JC I saw were simply stunning, especially worn.

#1 WMP Nightstalker: Some copies done by Chris and some converted by AHG were some of the best H1’s I’ve seen yet.

Can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store for us… Cheers!

For me it has to be:

  1. Number 1 spot HAS to go to the AS/KH/DW Image. this mask it just a stunning work of art and of course it is always exciting when new stuff comes from the KH family lol.

  2. The HMK. Imo the most accurate kirk ever to have been released.

  3. The return of AHG!!! Some of the NS masks he did last year were just amazing and i hare the love of Anthony for the #6. that is one special copy indeed.

  4. Has to go to the CREEP. A new hero NO mask is always a cool thing and the creep has pulled off some amazing looks so far and there are some special ones out there that make you drool lol for example Darren’s.

  5. I have to give this spot to my buddy Chris at WMP. The new NS masks replaced the old ones and what a move that was! the nightmare never looked better lol. Chris really knows his way around the NS now, you can see with each copy that his heart and soul went into them.

Wow, thanks everyone for the mention of the DB2/JC. Of course all the credit goes to James and Dennis for the masterpiece. I don’t know if I could completely answer this question but I would say the masks that hit the scene and impacted this last year are as follows: Shat/JC, Artifact, 98 Shat/JC and the MMK/JC (I know only 4). A couple saw a re emergence of a few masks like the KH/DW (Carlos’ copy in particular is awesome) and 2K that kicked the craze back into full throttle. It seemed the 99 Shats were replaced with the 75Ks for the preferred H2. Pretty neat to see the hobby evolve.
