I was browsing eBay and saw these repainted TOT masks for sale. I couldnt believe just how similar they look when they have matching paint jobs. Makes me wonder if the H78 mask really was sculpted using the H18 or sculpted for the new movie. What are your thoughts?
Justin has a distinctive style so they’re bound to look the same.
When Justin sculpted the H40 for the movie Nelson told him to stop at a certain point since he already liked what he saw.
The H78 was sculpt from scratch. Justin was sharing me the whole process before he even had it announced on the tot page. I’m assuming the H78 was closer to his for the film; what he had in mind.
Great post. To me, the h78 looks just a clean h18. The new tots boogeyman looks way more like the original mask.
I love how the H18 looks when it’s finished on the cleaner end of the scale.
