First off I gotta say, I actually really like the new Myers mask, but I absolutely hate the hairline. I wish they would somehow try and make it better.
I agree. I’ve heard there’s a couple ways you can improve it aside from a full blown rehair…you can tug the hair down, and glue it onto the mask, or if you’re really bold, you can take the front strip of hair off, fold the glue line under the hair, then glue it back down. I’m considering picking up the 78 mask, so I’m curious about the best way to do this myself.
Yea on TOTS 78 is terrible and hard to style
Hairlines aside, I was able to style the hair on my copies just fine.
Yes, modifying the awful stock hairline is an absolute must on these masks.
To give the hair that frayed out grimey look I actually threw my new mask in the slop sink in my basement and gave it a bath. Hang upside down to dry and now the hair has character and not so matted down. I did this with my H40 last year too!
