TOTS "1975 Captain Kirk" - Preorder !

Forgive me for my insistence, but everyone on this forum with $59.99 to spare is obligated to preorder this mask immediately.

This mask is an unbelievable opportunity for this community. It’s important to remember the original masks were done not by brilliant special effects artists, but by an average person with scissors and a can of spray paint. If able, we owe it to ourselves to do the same.

I would like to express my gratitude to Chris Zephro and Justin Mabry for making the $500.00 NightOwl “SHAT” mask this much more accessible. Let us remember that the original mask was, indeed, mass produced, and that we mustn’t stigmatize mass produced masks if we’re to say the original was oh-so-brilliant.

I’ve preordered my copy, and I’d hope you all do the same!

greatly worded brother

I think this is one of the biggest if not the biggest thing to happen to this community. Everyone will be able to go to their local spirit or party city and pick up an accurate kirk mask to convert. It’s going to completely change the market. “Converters” are going to be bigger than ever too.

This is amazing! A NightOwl SHAT for $59.99.

I think I’ll take your lead and pre-order one. I build (plastic)models and own an airbrush and compressor.

Now if someone can tell me what type of paints to use on a mask.

Michael.

Michael,

A blend of latex and acrylic will work. I’d advise ordering latex mask paints from www.monstermakers.com

Have you used the paints from http://www.monstermakers.com?

Can they be airbrushed?

Yes, and yes.
