Just got mine in today and I am surprisingly impressed with the quality for a 60 mask . I was skeptical like most with the inconsistency of different photos of the mask floating around , but its actually not that bad . I bought this with intentions of doing a rehaul so it wasn’t that much of a concern but the mask obviously needs work . The hair is not half bad but the hairline is and the paint job looks better in photos then in person. I have started work on mine were i pretty much have a blank Tots [emoji28] except for a couple spots that the paint is giving me trouble its almost all stripped . I have also modded the eyes and trimmed the bottom of the mask so far . Soon I’ll start on the paint and then onto the hair [emoji47]

Nice! I’ve heard TOTS masks are near impossible to strip. What did you use?

I have heard that also , and this was my first Tots but maybe its just this one . It seems to be sealed with plasti dip or something similar so if you can get a piece up you can peel it like a film

You can really see how nice the sculpt is with the paint stripped.

Yea the sculpt is pretty nice … though alot of the details are really soft and i feel like if you were to repaint it over their paint it will get lost .

What did you use after you got the finish peeled? Lacquer thinner?

I didn’t have to use anything the paint and all came off with the sealer [emoji28] . I actually need to pick some laquer thinner up but I did try some accetone on a wrag to try and get some of the stuborn spots off

Amazing job especially for your first time. Thing looks like a blank that you just did cuts on! I can’t wait to see the direction you go, what do you plan on using to hair it? Definitely keep us updated man! That sculpt definitely isn’t lacking any detail that’s for sure

Anyone else think the nose looks too big?

I think it has a lot to do with the mask being stripped of paint. The shading makes it look much more subtle than it does as as a blank

Really excited to see some of these 2018 re-paints/re-hairs and see the full potential of this mask.

Here’s one a member completed! Don’t believe he fully stripped the mask beforehand but man does it look good

I just meant in general. Never noticed it in the trailer or looking at pictures of the screen-used mask. The TOTS seems to just have a bulbous nose lol

Yep it was just a repaint. I can’t wait to see what a complete overhaul looks like man! I’m sure you are going to kill it and having that blank canvas is something the community has wanted to see since the mask was released. Awesome job and make sure to keep us posted. Stay positive brotha, I’m sure you’ll be posting a beautiful mask when complete and it will turn out great!

I can’t get my paint to come off at all. It won’t peel at all. How did you get the peel starting?

Mine started from the eyes when i was reworking them, possibly from the heat of the dremel maybe
