Interesting non-Myers image in the catalog - they have Universal Monsters Air Fresheners (sans Drac and Frank). Does this mean they will doing masks next year (or later this year as they tease more new items announcing later)? I know they already do a Lugosi Drac mask and it looks like a Don Post Wolfman remake is coming this year.
Someone named Corey Rutland on Facebook just posted a video of what seems to be the New TOTS H1. Paint job is about what you would expect from them. Really hard to see the mask though as it’s kinda flat with his hand through it.
Their H2 deluxe definitely came to mind when I first saw it. Not sure if it’s the dark lips and nose shading or the sculpt itself. I know the sculpt is completely new so I’m not sure what’s giving off that vibe.
Just watched the video on FB right now and I am already satisfied. It definitely looks like a production copy to me. I think that TOTS would have a much harder time messing up this mask during mass production (vs the H18) just because it doesn’t require much paintwork besides the white and a tiny bit of aging. I’ve always been a happy customer with TOTS and have always thought the best of them: and now I’m even more excited to get my hands on one!
I really wanted to like it but I’m not sure I do. Not saying it’s not a great sculpt by any means. I just feel like it’s his own take on an H1 and that’s fine, but I thought the whole purpose was to go for accuracy.
Here’s a photo of the Francis head (yikes on that hair! lol) and the Brute mask too- also really bad quality photo, but here’s the H1 and H18 knives- by the way they glinted as the camera moved by it really seem like they’re real metal or at least shiny chrome?
Might get the H4, if it’s gonna be small enough, the 78 knife I can hardly see, but if it’s enough to resemble the Case knife and isn’t foam, I’ll jump on one of those
