Who called it that? Unless it is a new release with different hair, that is a TOTS Elrod which is a mass-produced version if the NightOwl Psycho. This is my 2005 copy for reference on the sculpt, you can see the details in the photo you posted and the eyecuts. It originates from a 75 Kirk which is why it has such great accuracy. The new TOTS 78 is a ground-up sculpt which makes it that much more impressive!
Yeah, look on the tots website. They tweaked the Elrod into the new boogeyman with hand laid hair. I already pre ordered one lol
That looks rough on the left. Definitely going to be the Nag on the right looking better. I’m sure like everyone said that a rehaul would straighten the Tots up but outta store it looks pretty rough.
Oh that is awesome man! First time hearing about that but now it makes sense why they said they were going to cease production of their Elrod. That hand-laid hair makes a world of difference

NAG masks look like crap straight from Nik. They always need rehauled. When properly finished nothing can compare.

Don’t mean to be off topic however are there more/better pictures of the boogyman? Also forgive my ignorance, what’s the difference between the hand laid hair and the normal way ToTs does it?
The hand laid hair is done in rows like all the other masks for the most part, like the original Kirk. The Elrod used to have a giant glued on single piece that had this kind of strange light hair that wouldn’t lay down
