When these knives came out I remember people talking about different techniques to use but I can’t find those discussions but thanks for the tip I’ll be looking into whatever different methods can be applied. I think someone once said to spray paint it black then silver and wiping it down or something, I don’t recall the specifics

Picked one up. I gave Tim some input and a little reference when designing his newest Case replica he sent to TOTS. Specifically with the “beak” shape on the handle. I snagged the first copy from Tim after that, but went ahead and got in on this sale from Nightmare Toys. It’ll be interesting to compare the two.

If anything, I figured it’d be good to have the cheaper alternative for Halloween night or for costume shots where I may not want to risk damaging the more expensive replica.

Tim’s knifes are entirely separate from TOTS knives. They simply used his knife as the basis to create theirs for mass production.

No, no. Then prototype knife that I helped give some input on was the one Tim used to send to TOTS, which then became the basis for their production. So all of the TOTS knives should remain the same.
