I saw some pictures from when they first came out. They look pretty good, especially after taking some steel wool to dull the finish. I’m 95% finished with my steel 102-12 replica, but I picked the tots up for Conventions.
From all the pics and videos I’ve seen on the TOTS 78 Knife it has a beautiful packaging. I’m half tempted to order another to keep in the package and set up. Have to mention I’m stoked about the TOTS H4 knife to. I wonder what the packaging will look like for it.
Picked one up. I gave Tim some input and a little reference when designing his newest Case replica he sent to TOTS. Specifically with the “beak” shape on the handle. I snagged the first copy from Tim after that, but went ahead and got in on this sale from Nightmare Toys. It’ll be interesting to compare the two.
If anything, I figured it’d be good to have the cheaper alternative for Halloween night or for costume shots where I may not want to risk damaging the more expensive replica.
Ordered one from monsters in motion a month ago. Said it was in stock. Haven’t been charged. Hasn’t been shipped. Tried reaching out to them…nothing! MFers!
When these knives came out I remember people talking about different techniques to use but I can’t find those discussions but thanks for the tip I’ll be looking into whatever different methods can be applied. I think someone once said to spray paint it black then silver and wiping it down or something, I don’t recall the specifics
